Our Ideas & Additional Information
This is the logo that I created. I like the clean design and the two kites, although I think the kites look to static and techy. You can build on this or create something new. I also think that the color is too tropical, maybe make it a little more teal but without looking dull.

The main business of the company will revolve around kitesurfing, so I do want to incorporate a stylistic image or sketch of two or three kites (more than one kite - to indicate the social element of the Kite Bar).

Bar has several meanings as it relates to this business - 1) you use a control bar to steer the kite; 2) sand bar - there are several sand bars that appear during low tide in the river where the shop is and where lessons will be taught; 3) coffee and beer/wine bar - we will be serving coffee drinks, beer, wine and light snacks in the cafe portion of the shop. We want to create a cool hangout place where students and independent kitesurfers can hang out with like-minded people before or after session, have a drink or a snack, watch kitesurfing movies, and just have a good time.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

- Rank designs daily - this will encourage participation.
- Rank and re-rank a variety of designs to get a variety of new entries.
- Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
- Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
- The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
- Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
- Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
- Ranking is a non-monetary means of showing appreciation for the Designers' hard work.
- Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

Hi Designers! Thanks so much for your submissions. I think the most important idea I'd like to convey with the logo is the social element of the place. The fact that there is a cafe and a hangout area in the shop is what sets it apart from other similar outfits in the area. I think that incorporating an image of a person kitesurfing makes it look too extreme and omits the other aspect of the business - standup paddle is for everyone, lessons, coffee shop with a hangout area.
Maybe incorporate a coffee bean in the logo or in the font (to replace the dot of the "i"), and play with more dynamic fonts to give it a sense of motion and wind. Another thing to incorporate is a seagull or a crane (there is a ton of cranes in the area).
