I have sold 17 logos to KW clients here on this site alone. I think the appeal is strong visual designs that gain attention on signage from a distance. I use try to stay away from thin lines due to the distance visibility on yard signage.
In addition to my entries above, here are some links to other Contests that I have won (These are KW agents, in particular, though that may or may not matter) The key is that they are a variety of Real State concepts. Feel free to review them to see if any styles appeal to you, and we could model a style that is similar, yet uniquely yours.
All of your logo submissions are very nicely done and I like the clean lines. However, they're a bit more graphics-heavy than I was hoping. I like the font you used for the words. I'm just wondering what can be done to simplify the graphic/picture part of the logo a bit. On #35, I know that the gray lines next to "TEAM" might not be very visible from a distance (like on signs), but I think that will be fine because I think it looks good whether those lines can be seen or not.
I really like the font types and styles that you've used and everything looks nice and clean. The main challenge I'm having with the logo is the amount of vertical space it takes. In my mind, I'm thinking that the logo will need to be a bit shorter vertically to fit in some of the spaces I have in mind. If there's something you can do that will retain the bottom half of #35 and #58 but with something that takes less vertical space on top, I would be interested in seeing that.
I definitely like the curved separator at the top the best. I also think the word "THE" being on the top left like on #35 and #59 better than on the side. With the shorter roofs on #72, #73, and #74, I noticed that the they shrunk horizontally also. I think the logo looks better balanced when the top graphic spans most of the horizontal space, like on #35 and #59. So, using #35 and #59 as a starting point since those seem to be the closest to what I would see as a finished product, is there a different house/roof graphic available that's roughly the same width but slightly shorter vertically, while retaining the same color style? The color gradient on the red roof with the sunlight is a nice effect, and the black/gray outline style above the red lettering is nice as well.
One last thing if you have time -- On #82, the "DAVID MONROE" looks like it's solid on the bottom half of the letters and a gradient on the top half. I'm concerned that on certain print media that effect might look like the top half gradient was not intentional (like a printer toner problem). Could we try either having a black gradient fill on the "DAVID MONROE" span the full height of the letters similar to the effect of #94 (but black, not red). Or we could even just go with solid black for the letters like on #95. Thanks.
David. Im traveling today, but will gladly update as requested. Also, the gradient can be added or removed in the final file due to layering, should you want to keep/remove it for different uses.
Thanks for uploading the files. When I opened the large copy of the logo (and on the EPS version) I noticed that the sunlight effect at the top creates a fairly hard curved line (kind of an oval shape) in the transition from the lighter red at the top to the darker red gradient at the bottom half of the roof. Is there a way to do a smoother color transition with the sunlight effect? If not, then we may need to remove the sunlight effect at the top. The issue exists on all of the graphics files, but I didn't notice it until I had a larger copy to view. On large marketing pieces like signs, that hard color transition could be very noticeable.
David - So sorry that I missed this message. I will work on resolving the file issue and get it to you ASAP. Also if you have any further questions feel free to email me directly : paul@paultilly.net
Once the contest ends, I rarely check back to the contest page. That's why I unfortunately missed this message.
