Our Ideas & Additional Information
www.thecsme.com features a virtual spokesperson video and positioning language that will be helpful. This is a TEMP WEBSITE. Do not pull branding ideas from the colors, images or layout used. The content through the video spokesperson is approved.

Also good to note that the final logo will need to be resized to be used by member companies on their own business cards. This could be done by us when we issue a version for a member to use on cards/marketing material where we crop to just the image and we add text in our layout for: "a member of the Center for Spend Management Excellence". If your design falls apart when re-sized to 80 x 80 px, that may factor into the award decision.

Overall comment to all designers:

If possible, we would like to incorporate the idea of accreditation into the logo. The mark may speak to our main markets in the following ways --

-- To an organization who performs spend management projects, the accreditation element may speak to them that they want to be associated with an organization that elevates and gives credibility to their practice area, setting them apart from their competitors.

-- To a potential client/corporate executive who wants to reduce expenses through one of our members, it should say I want to use one of their members who is accredited because they meet a minimum standard of excellence and I can trust the organization to provide me with proven companies in any spend area.

-- To the individual within a member company, it can say that their association with CSME is a career asset and makes them more valuable in the marketplace.

Literal examples (not design examples) of this would be The Underwriter's Lab seal, the Good Housekeeping seal and even the seal for The Office of the President of the United States of America.

To all designers - please consider a design that speaks to "certification" or "accredited". We would like to see some executions along those lines. For more information, please see the comment made on July 22. Thanks.
