Linking Communities through Active Transportation
What We Do
The Camden Green Way is a proposed physical network of active transportation pedestrian and bicycling trails seeking to connect communities in Camden City, Camden County, the South Jersey suburbs and Philadelphia. The trails will help provide transportation opportunities for residents, help reduce car dependence in the region, promote active healthy living through walking or biking, leverage economic development along the trails and provide recreational and transportation options to residents and visitors.
Top Three Things to Communicate
#1 - An active trail network, creating non-motorized transportation opportunities on trails through linear waterfront greenway parks and also via on-street bike lanes and sidewalk trails
#2 - Creating necessary connections between currently-existing trails to connect communities in a positive and beneficial way, sparking economic development and greater quality of life
#3 - Signifying a mode shift to greener, more sustainable modes of transport, via trails and trail links to public transportation
Our Target Audience:
Given the wide range of the trail network, the logo needs to appeal to a wide range of individuals, both inner-city Camden residents and families in the New Jersey suburbs. The appeal should be for young & old across a wide range of economic and educational backgrounds. Overall, we’re attempting to target everyone that has the future possibility to use the trails for transportation, with special focus on current users (bicyclists, walkers, outdoor recreation users).
Green, obviously, with other colors as necessary.
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
We are open to alternative possibilities, but our assumption is that the logo should contain the name and a visualization of a trail somewhere. Ideally, the "Camden" in the name would be able to be added or subtracted or substituted, given the wide range of communities the trails would run through.
