#3 & 4 - Love the creativity but it's not the right direction. keep goin'!!!

#6 Like it - can you try it with a different back-star color. Something other than pink. Also put a THE in there and maybe make the AMAZING and the COMPANY bigger with the KID a little smaller. Am I being too much of a pain in the ass??? =)

#7 A little too much PARTY-FUN-feel and not cool enough. Does that make sense?

#8 can you play around with the colors?

#10 -YES!!! This is the kind of fun I'm talking about!!! I am lovin this! Can you try playing with the colors a little. Also - make the KID a little bit smaller. Can you also play with with some other fonts. Think fun and cool. Also - Oh, the places we'll go should be on there.

NOTE TO ALL...

First off - thank you so much. I am just blown away at what has happened here in just a couple of days. WOW!!! The talent on this site is quite remerkable!

I need to step back for a day or so. I will be using this logo for at least the next ten years and it will BE and SAY who I AM and WHAT I DO in this crazy world of ours. So, needless to say it's a BIG BIG decision. My mind is kind of spinning with all the cool stuff that you all have brought to the table and I keep wanting to tweak every little last bit. It's driving me a little Coocoo. Probably driving you Coocoo, too! =) Feel free to keep them coming, though. Keep the creativity a flowin! I will keep checking (every two minutes or so), but I'm going to let them just wash over me for a bit. At least until tomorrow. I'll let go of control a little and just see what happens (I have some issues). =)

Thank you again! I know I'll get what I want here and I can tell that some of you are going to be quite successful! That's if you're not already!

To LED and Driftingsky - whichever ONE of you doesn't win this thing - I want to buy you dinner next time you're in L.A. You're both amazing and taking this to places I couldn't have imagined. WOW! To everyone else and any newcomers - please keep going. Take their lead because this IS the direction.
This proccess has made me look deeper into my company than I expected to. We do birthday parties but we also work with kids who have autism. We do camps in Malibu AND work with kids from the inner city. It's almost like you both instictvly knew when to tone down the craziness - and you did it only AFTER we started to capture it. WHEW! I feel like were playing dueling logos.


#67 - This is what I love - It feels very profssional and still captures a real "kid-like-fun". Liking the oval (even though I didn't think I would). I love the KID coming out from the explosion with a bang. It's like he's saying "THAT'S RIGHT PEOPLE...THIS COMPANY IS ALL ABOUT ME AND DONT YOU FORGET IT"!

Can you do THE AMAZING and COMPANY in the same font. AMAZING looks too much like a wanted poster and COMPANY is too...I don't know. They both feel like the old west, a little. Try that "Suess" font, maybe. I don't know. Whatever it is, all three words should match. Also - is it possible to enhance that explosion a bit. Color???? More POP??? I don't know...somethin'. Also again - I like the font and colors of KID, but my VP in charge of marketing is not a big fan of "bubblish" fonts. We may go back to it, but could you play with some others? Maybe a scribble like in #51.


#51 - This is what I love - It says WOW! You can't help but to look at it. It's almost like the logo itself is demanding attention. I love the scribbled KID and the tag line that matches. Like in #67. I like that the KID is coming out of the explosion and I like KID in red.

Can you do THE AMAZING and COMPANY in the same color. All blue. Then try all green. Then maybe add some help to the explosion. See my "old" logo for what I mean by that - but please, make it your own. Maybe tag line in red too.

#68 Yeah - very creative! What if the back thing (where AMAZING is) was yellow and was the sun coming up over the earth (where KID and COMPANY are). And it looked like the earth with OH THE PLACES WE'LL GO being a comet going around the earth. THE is still a flag. How hard would that be??? note: if it's not obvious, I just capitilize the words that are in the logo to avoid confussion - although I'm not sure it's working. =)

Keep playing around. I'd kinda like to stay with primary colors if possible and need to be able to read AMAZING clearly.

Thoughts?

A NOTE TO ALL - I have extended this contest one week. It is just such a big decision and I feel I need more time and need to see (and feel) more before I choose the one and only final logo.

I think it's obvious which way I'm leaning. LED has been the one to find the closest to what I'm looking to capture. FUN, HIGH ENERGY, A LITTLE CRAZY, GREAT WITH KIDS BUT GOOD WITH THE GROWN-UPS TOO, EASY TO READ, KAPOW! WOW! ALL THIS WITH SOME COOL and CLASSY THROWN IN. Although - many of you have captured peices of it and we've evolved to where we're at because of more than just one of you. Driftingsky being a big part of that evolution!


If you all are still interted in the contest (which I hope you are) - plaese keep going and look at all my coments to LED and drinftingsky and jurusha and all throughout.

I'm sorry if extending pisses anyone off. I don't mean to at all. It's just that I'm gonna brand the hell out of my company and I want to be as close to 100% sure as I can be. It's a long name THE AMAZING KID COMPANY, and I want people to see and read the name right away while the fun and interesting logo gets branded into their brain. All this in a second or two. =)

What follows will be some more thooughts I have about certain logos you have posted. I know there has been alot of hard work and I wish that more than one of you could win. As I said before - whoever does not win, my wife and I will take you to dinner if and when you're ever in Los Angeles. Or - in Boston when we're there (we go twice a year). =)


I also just found out about the importance of the ranking. I will try and be very conscious of that. I will also try and not rank the same logo with little tweaks together up at the top.

OK - it's coming down to the wire. #129 is the front runner as it has been for a while. Amazing stuff you all have done, but none are surpassing what seems to be the excact style I'm going for.

LED - I know I said I wouldn't bug ya, but I need to see a couple of things to be sure.
The colors need to be primary and brighter. Also - sorry to be a pain in the a**, but THE AMAZING and COMPANY font is just not working for me. Look at the font on #120 and the AMAZING on #37. The font has to have depth and it's own personality without taking away from KID (bright and primary red will help with that).

How are you doing ? hope you are doing great. As this contest is about to come to an end, and you will be chosing the best new logo for your company, i just wanted to have your attention to some important point that you might be aware of or might not. I hope i am not miss understood by pointing out this to you and that you understand.

When the contest ends and you have made your mind and desicion about the winner logo, the winner gets the 1st place, but the 2nd and 3rd place and going on forward, 4th, 5th, 6th , etc , each one or slot should be filled with a seperate designer and different concept you found second best, third best to follow etc.

This helps towards us designers ranking and also it is a way from you to show your appreciation to the hard effort and trails put from the beginning by one designer or appreciating a nice design concept put earlier by a designer that led to developing on right direction for others and you getting the best you could at the end.

It feels frasturating for other designers and pointless of giving all the top rankings for same winner designer, while those were just a small variations of the winning design and therefore the other places 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc are not filled with different designs from a different designer.

So i hope you understood my point i was just trying to point out to you here and all the best of luck in chosing your winner logo, there are really good ones out there.

please take a moment to rank your contest in fair and just manner..it will go along way when you decide to start another....simply because more designers will participate if they know a contest will be judged fairly.

As an ex-actor, I understand how frustrating it can be to work and work and work at something, only to see the prize go to someone else. I also understand that all those 'NO's" will eventually bring you many "YESes". I was on a TV show called Life Goes On and workied for many years on other projects, so I get it. THANK YOU. So, I have talked to both of you and I am a little heart-sick over having to rank 1, 2, 3 and 4. It doesn’t affect me in any way except for the fact that I try to live my life by ethical and moral standards and (above all) I try to always do the right thing. You’ve both worked so hard and I want to do right. So, what is the “right thing” here? You both have different opinions on this and I understand both of them.
LED – You have worked you’re a** off. You took two subversions of the same logo, tweaked and tweaked both of them for me every time I asked. You GAVE me what I asked and you are giving me TWO versions – because that’s what I wanted.
Driftingsky – As I’ve said numerous times, your creativity and hard work lives in, what will be the forever face of my company. You also worked your tuchas off and did everything I asked every time I asked it. You’ve pointed out to me the importance of “ranking” this competition. AAAAAARGH!!!!!
Let me sit with it for a bit. Again, thank you both so so much. I am so grateful!
