First post of the competition to help all designers is the definition of "Tacit" or specifically "Tacit knowledge".

"Tacit means something which is "unspoken or implied." An opinion or view which is not "voiced" is said to be tacit. In other words, a tacit point may be communicated indirectly in the form of gestures or signs. In some cases, a tacit piece of information need not be expressed with speech or words; it is inferred or understood (taken for granted) instinctively. "

"With tacit knowledge, people are not often aware of the knowledge they possess or how it can be valuable to others. Effective transfer of tacit knowledge generally requires extensive personal contact and trust."

Hope this helps!

Review of #2 and #3. I like the symmetry, font and the colours of the wording. I think these are definitely a step in the right direction for the logo. Not sold on the "band aid" approach at all, but I understand the approach you have taken in regards to fixing and solutions

Maybe using other graphics that promote problem fixing , finding solutions etc would give other ideas.

Review of #1. As per above, not sold on the graphic, but again like the wording and size and colour of font.

Review of #4. Prefer the other entries, but then again this wording may look better with a different graphic, so hard to tell at this stage

Thanks for your work so far. Hope my comments help!

In regards to #5, I would prefer that the business is not referred to as its acronym "TBG".

In all agreements, the company is referred to as "TACIT" in short.

Maybe replacing TBG with the word TACIT and then Business Group underneath would improve this design. I do like the font, colours and symmetry, as well as the appearance of the "green box".

Hope this helps!

Very promising, and some interesting ideas. As I said so far on the best designs, just to familarise yourself with other logos in the pharmaceutical industry in the UK, please look at my comments below

#11, #12 and #13. This is a very interesting concept. Archs are used within the industry in other companies such as AAH pharmaceuticals and Alliance Boots (albeit in different designs). Other companies logos are found within the ABPI (Assoc. British Pharm Industry). (the logos are easily found on the web).

And in regards to icons or graphics, for those thinking of incorporating an icon or graphic, we have previously toyed with the ideas such as

1. cog wheels inside a silloutte of a head ?
2. Abstract thinking (some abstract design) ?
3. Thinking outside a box ?
4. Piecing together a puzzle ?

Hope this helps generate some further ideas.

Thanks so far !

Whilst we rank these logos, please be aware that the top 10 (actually 20!) are being continually debated throughout the office, and obviously across the weekend, friends and family will give their "opinions", so it is more than likely that rankings will move about. We will be having a meeting on Monday morning to rank after the weekends feedback.

Hope these comments help give you an insight into our thinking!

Thanks for all your submissions so far.

For reference, we will be deciding upon the final logo around 10pm (GMT london tonight). The top 30 are all very close indeed, so thank you all for making our decision very difficult.

We could easily use a large number of these logos, but alas, only need one, and we will certainly be back for repeat business.

Thanks again.
