We provide friendly, easy-to-understand web analytics for marketers who run e-commerce sites.

Color Preferences
We're looking for warm, friendly colors that are energetic and somewhere between muted and bright in terms of luminance. Examples of good color palettes would be mint.com or mailchimp.com or tumblr.com.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
We think the following link is a good example of what we're after, structurally speaking. It incorporates visual elements into the typography: http://c0024708.cdn1.cloudfiles.rackspacecloud.com/499250226625-223.jpg. We're not opposed to a small, simple logo that sits beside the text. But ideally, that primary visual element will be embedded, subtly, into the typography.

We'd also like to steer away from trendy typefaces such as Gotham. We're looking for something energetic, friendly and unique. Our business will be built on the premise, "This is the easiest product you'll ever use." The logo should reflect that goal by being irresistibly simple, different and unforgettable.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank and re-rank a variety of designs to get a variety of new entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monetary means of showing appreciation for the Designers' hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

A few comments about the submissions in general. I see promise in several of them. I'd like to push on a few fronts to see how these can evolve. The issues I see: 1) the choice of typography in many cases is not quite arresting or inspiring as it could be; 2) the color palettes are somewhat flat and lacking in energy, 3) the stroke weights in many cases are too thick. The "swapbox" example I provided in the original description is only an example of integrating visuals with text. We think it's a well-executed one, but we're not necessarily looking for something similar. Use it as a conceptual starting point and don't let it constrain your creative flow.

A few more thoughts. While we're open to using an uncoiled spring as a visual element, it's neither necessary nor the only option. We are also open to plays on spring as a season. Also an option: simple, abstract plays on the concept of metrics. Nothing obvious like an actual graph or a pie chart, but something that subliminally makes one thing of metrics. Also, we'd like to see more variation in color combinations. The colors should be warm, progressive, and friendly, but beyond that, we have no specific requirements or expectations.

In general, we want you guys to discard any preconceived notions of what we're after. Think different about this one. Even a wild, off-base concept can have one great element that leads to something great. We've got three days left. Let's go for it!

Hi Folks,

I want to reiterate that we very much want the icon element to be integrated into the text like #2, #1, & #34
All three of those designs have a lot of room for improvement, but that is the direction we want to go in.

It is also worth calling out #24 which does a nice job with typography, but again, we would like the icon to be better integrated into the text.
