Logo Design Brief

Client
Slogan
City living... out in the country!
What We Do
We offer fully serviced residential lots that are on the outskirts of the city, at more than HALF the price of city lots.
Industry
Real Estate
Color Preferences
Extremely flexible on colour pallette. However the use of yellow or orange might be best suited, as we are situated in the prairies!
Our Ideas & Additional Information
We want the logo to portray that South Country Estates is for the average person, the working class. We want people to identify that building a home isn't for the rich, as we can offer a wide open huge lot (think 3.5 acres a.k.a 150,000 square feet) for 60% less than a lot in the city. Not to mention the ultra-low light pollution in our location, makes for starry skies and incredible sunsets.

Discussion

To everyone submitting logos, THANK you for the efforts. Keep in mind that the logo doesn't necessarily need to incorporate the slogan "city living..." we want to run MOST of our advertising online via social media. So we feel a 'tidy' logo may be more versatile than a complex one with many minute details. But its so early in the submission stage we don't want to discourage anyone from submitting anything, because there are many talented artists here. So keep going, we'd love to see more and will try and steer you in the right direction as we go along, but even we are fighting with what it is we are looking for, and will know more as we evaluate each and every one of your submissions. So thank you!

Has anyone thought of going the abbreviation route? "S.C.E"? Just a thought, we are just brainstorming here... If you all feel this is bad design philosophy then by all means, keep doing what you're doing and ignore us - we are open to ANY and ALL concepts until we can zero in on what appeals to us, and thats where the ranking will come in.

I wanted to take another moment and acknowledge every single designer that participated in submissions for the logo. Some serious talent has been displayed, and we at SCE had reviewed every submission and looked at the design, level of complexity, diversity of usage (on our end), etc. We are close on a decision, but before the contest closes we just wanted to say THANK YOU. It's a phrase seldom used in this world anymore. Cheers.
