Our Ideas & Additional Information
THIS LOGO IS NOT FOR OUR COMPANY. THIS LOGO IS FOR AN EVENT BEING HOSTED AT OUR COMPANY THAT WILL BECOME AN ANNUAL EVENT.

Elements of the Logo:

1. The name of the event: CarolinaFest
2. The SC state tree and crescent moon as found in the SC state flag.
3. Part of our existing logo at Skydive Carolina as seen on www.skydivecarolina.com. The part i'm referring to is the red 'skydiver' in between the words Skydive and Carolina in our company logo. If you would like to see it, e-mail me at james@skydivecarolina.com and I will send it to you immediately.

Thanks for the effort everyone!

3. let me understand, you want the skydiver from your original logo to be a part of this design?

Hi Snerp - yes, that's exactly correct. I was hoping I could upload our logo on to LT, but don't seem to be able to. If you e-mail me at james@skydivecarolina.com, I will happily send it to you. The skydiver in our company logo is well recognized within the industry and we would like to incorporate it into our new event logo.

Many thanks for looking...I hope you can create some magic for us!

Ok just one more question. With this skydiver from your logo, can it be placed anywhere within this design or does it have to be placed within the titles "Skydive Carolina" or "Carolina Fest". And how much prominence does it require.

The placement of the skydiver from our logo does not have to be part of the word CarolinaFest. Everyone has creative license on that.....My original mental picture was for our skydiver to be swooping past the Palmetto tree, but I'm not sure how it works for the symmetry of the look....

I love the energy everyone! We are pumped up for our event and are excited to see what everyone comes up with!

Okay guys, I think we're honing in on this thing. Feels like an eye test and things are getting a little sharper.
We have a lot of elements happening in this logo...i'm thinking the simpler is better. I would like to try and keep the colors within 3 colors as I will be using this logo on tee shirts thus resulting in screen printing expenses etc.....though this is not a deal breaker.

Logo #10 by raspy looks good, but there is a bit too much happening there. It is not mandatory to have our company logo in the design...it's the skydiver within the company logo that I want to see...so if we need to eliminate some elements, we can eliminate that (entire skydive carolina logo) and we can create some more room by making the moon much smaller and more in the distance.

Looking good! I'm looking forward to seeing how this continues to progress. Everyone is doing a great job and I appreciate your efforts.

To the designers....I can see the creative juices flowing......and wanted to offer this up. I don't want my parameters to lock everyone in terms of an emblematic design. If you are feeling a little boxed in because of working in the word CarolinaFest, the skydiver figure from our company logo and the Palmetto tree, I give you creative license to wander a little....I like the Palmetto tree because it identifies our region...the skydiver guy because it identifies us as a company and of course the event name for obvious reasons.

Because these three elements are a lot, if you would like to move away from an emblem format into something more creative...by all means take a crack at it. Feel free to message me personally if you wish for feedback!

I like the current progression of the logos thusfar, but I'd like to see them a bit simpler....a little crisper.

Thank you to everyone for your efforts to this point!

I guess you no longer want your logo name "skydive carolina" involved in the logo.

or the moon...hmmmmm

Hi Snerp - the pre-requisite was not to have our skydive carolina logo involved, but to have the swoop man from our skydive carolina logo involved. I would prefer to have the moon, I think we have so many elements involved that creativity can kick in to see what it looks like with or without it....

Thank you to all for your fabulous submissions! I have been away on vacation for the past 4 days and have not been able to give feedback. I have to spend some time ranking all of the designs and picking a winner.
Stay tuned!
