Can't use initials as it's sounds like a disorder i.e. asd = autism spectrum disorder.
Prefer a yellow gold that is brighter than the rich gold that is used here.

Logo Designer
Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ If you are requesting a design that could possibly require designers to invest more time creating it than other concepts, for best results the prize should be at least $400-$500. Please note: "Character" style logos fall into this category.
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion.
~~ When you provide feedback to designers, you increase the chances of getting the logo you want. More feedback = better results!
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested." We'd like to know what you don't want so we can give you the design you do want.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ The first phase of the contest is the "Open" phase, and everyone can submit during that time.
~~ After your contest's initial "Open" phase closes, it will enter the "Top 5" phase; only the designers of top 5 ranked designs will be able to submit revisions at that time.
~~ When "Top 5" ends, the "Judging" phase begins. The designer of the 1st ranked design will be the only designer who can submit revisions at that time.

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

The logo with the text to the right looks great as in image 1 and 8.
I prefer the font in 1 and 9
I'd like to see something in colors other than blue and green as my competitors logos and websites are blue and green.
Try some warm earth tone color combinations reds, oranges and yellows
Please see updated brief with changes to the tag line.

I like the variety of colors in 11, but need the long name Shelley Price Draper all on one line.
On the website, I need the option of having the text both under and beside the logo. Possibly try black print. "Better Life Counselling" works better than "Helping People Build a Better Life"
Both logos are intriguing and convey the look I want. Logo 1, 8 and 9 seem very uplifting and moving in the direction of positive change which is the feeling I'm wanting to achieve. So far that logo looks best in blue, green and yellow. My websites main color is a warm red/orange to distinguish my self from other counselling websites located in my area which tend to be blue. Although the colors seem identical in 9 and 11, they look great in 11, but lacks some punch in 9.

You're moving in the right direction and I like both. Very talented work so far.

Wow! Nice work. The red in #11 and 22 is nice and rich looking. I like that.
The green and gold in 22 are great colors as well.
Shelley Price Draper has to be on one line.
The font in #8 is too thick, but all the other fonts seem to work.
I'm looking forward to seeing more entries tomorrow. You designers are brilliant.

Although the black background looks nice, it doesn't work with the message I'm trying to portray of safety, trust and security.

Black-Lyne: 28-30 the text/print layout is excellent. That's what I'm looking for. I'd like to see more of that.
Dalhazz: 24 text/print layout is good as well. The colors in 22 are preferable over 24, especially the red. It looks great in that logo.
Mungki: #1 is still up there. I'd like to see a dark and intense red on the outside (the person part), then orange, then yellow. Change the text and font to have Shelley Price Draper all on one line. 26 & 27 don't work as the vertical lines and black background take away the softness that I'm looking for.
BigGenuis:16-21 The logo is uplifting, but it requires a softer edge and the silver doesn't work. For me, it's leaning towards a new age, robotic look, which isn't my preference. Soften it up, try some different colors.
Logoku: Nice to see something different. Read my comments about other designs as above and you should get a good idea about the look I'm after.
I need to rate them and will in a few hours as I'm rushed for time right now and they are all so close. There are aspects of each that I like. I hope the comments help.

GOOD WORK EVERYONE... I appreciate your working with me

Wow! I've just completed the difficult task of rating all the logos. They are all coming along so well. It's tough to decide. I appreciate all the energy that's gone into doing this. Each of you is truly a professional. This has been a learning experience for me. I hope the comments have helped. Looking forward to what will present in the next 7 hours. We're certainly getting close. Thanks everyone

Congratulations everyone for sending in such amazing logos. There are many that work. I've invited others to view and get their comments which I will consider when making my choices. Each of the top 5 designers has something I like.

Dalhazz: The colors in #48 work well, as does the logo. #82 is nice, but gets too busy with the extra figure. I also want to stay away from anything that makes it look like people are dancing.

Mungki: I still like logo 13 and appreciate all the variations of colors and print that you have submitted it in, but I'm still struggling with the colors. It looked great on the black background, but it won't be on a black website, business card or letter head, so that doesn't work. It needs a white background with colors that work well together and pop off the page. One thought was to outline the logo in black.

Black-Lyne: A lot of good stuff. 63 and 65 are appealing. The heart and oval aren't working and I'm concerned the figures look like dancers. It's nice, I'm just not sure about it or what to suggest. 85 with nothing might be the answer, but the colors aren't working - I'd like more earth tone with some red.

Amalia: Like the colors, but the figure is too "dance-like".

Danoeadjiie: Lots of good logos which are working, but not quite there. Stick with the earth tones. The ones I like are 51, 56 and 57.

Everyone, pinks won't work, so make sure the red is not a pinky-red. Deep solid colors with punch and I'm leaning towards the earth-tones used in 37, 46 and 48. These colors are used in other logos as well, but they stand out and appeal to me in these logos.

Hope these comments help.

I placed logos in the "not interested" box to help me sort through all the logos. They are all great work.
I understand in this phase the top 5 designers are the only ones who can submit logos so I put all other designers in the "not interested" box to limit confusion for me and others that I've asked to comment. If this isn't the way to do things, please some one send me a comment.

Thanks for all your ideas. You designers are very talented and I appreciate seeing your ideas.

Great work everyone. I like how they're turning out. The deep brown-red certainly appeals to me, as well as the yellow-gold. The sage green that many of you have used looks nice as well.. . Something with substance as well.

There are others who I'm consulting with, but it's me who makes the final decision.

Excellent work everyone. Keep surprising me. We're definitely moving in the right direction.

The logos with 3 colors are preferable because it gives the web designers more options in their color choices.
We'd like to see some more inviting and less formal print.

Shelley Price Draper Counselling is a warm, trusting place where people can go for help. Children go there as well, so keep it inviting and fun - somewhat whimsical. That needs to be portrayed in the logo as well as the font choice. So try a softer, more inviting font choice using upper and lower case letters (keeping it grammatically correct).
Try some with brown instead of black or red text.
Make the tag line "Better Life Counselling" in smaller letters, possibly a different color.
The logo needs substance and the print needs to be more inviting.

Instead of SHELLEY PRICE DRAPER, try Shelley Price Draper. Find a font that is inviting and less formal.

Dalhazz: Like the three different colors. The green and yellows work well. Would like to see a different red that has some orange, just to see what it looks like.
The text needs to be more inviting and warm. Use different font and instead of SHELLEY PRICE DRAPER in capitals try Shelley Price Draper. I'd like to see "Shelley Price Draper" in black or brown. "Better Life Counselling" needs to be in smaller letters and inviting font. Try it in the green, red or yellow.

Amalia: Still like this logo and the colors. Thanks for the different color options. It lacks substance and doesn't really say what "Shelley Price Draper" Counselling does. The font you've used is warm and inviting, a little bit fun, definitely more casual which is excellent. Using the dark print for "Shelley Price Draper"is nice as it's easier to read. The brown is nice as it compliments the earth tone colors you've used. The splash of color with "Better Life Counselling" is nice

Mungki: This logo has substance and the red and gold look nice together, but the web designers want three colors. See if you can find a way to add a third color - the moss green is nice or an orange or brown.
The print needs to be softer and more inviting
Instead of "SHELLEY PRICE DRAPER" try Shelley Price Draper in a different font. "Better Life Counselling" looks better in smaller print.

Danoeadjie; The colors in 106 and 107 are great, but web designers want a third color - see what you can do. Those colors are beautiful together and separately. Although the logo has substance, it's not portraying what I want. It looks like couples counselling, which I do, but I do a lot of individual counselling as well. The heart doesn't work either as a close colleague uses a heart in her logo, therefore, I have to stay away from the heart.
The print needs to be more inviting. See comments above. I like how you've done "Better Life Counselling" in smaller print. It looks nice centered, try some variations on that, but keep that print smaller and possibly in a one of the colors from the logo.

Black-Lyne: Thanks for removing the heart from 85. As explained above I can't use hearts. The oval that you used in 65 didn't look that good. I'm wondering if 85 just needs some different colors. One of the figures in the deep red, another in mossy green, another in the gold or orange-gold color.
"Better Life Counselling" looks better in the smaller font similar to what you've done. See my comments to the other designers in regards to the print to get the idea.

Thanks everyone for continuing to work so hard. We've come a long ways. Hope the comments help.

Meeting with people tomorrow to discuss their views and ideas about the logos. I'll post their thoughts and suggestions tomorrow about 18 hours from now.
Each one of you is contender. It's a hard choice.
Thanks again.
