ShadowAir LTDLogo Design Contest

Folks, If you use the "S" in the middle of the wings, I'd like the shape to be like the Superman "S" I just uploaded: it's enclosed by a more angular shield. Also, the "S" itself is colored to look like the night sky .... appears to have faint stars in background which is a cool effect and the blue is about what I'm looking for: the rest of the background for the "S" would be silver/platinum/gray instead of white. Husk Entry #3 & #2 are very close to the look I'm leaning towards: Husk #3 the background color in circle should be more of a blue like the Superman "S" I just uploaded and the color of the little icon above the globe more of a darker silver/grey like the wings; if Husk #2 incorporates the Superman "S" as previously described, with the blue color and night sky look with the rest of the background matching the gray in the wings, it will be in the finals.

Folks, Please drop LTD from updated designs: logo seems to flow better without it.

Please note: the icons, lettering & effects must be placed on a white background so no adjustments will need to be made when it is inserted in the website (which has a white background) and for printing on white t-shirts, etc. You are an amazingly artistic and talented group!

Thanks to all for the entries thus far. I'm starting to narrow the focus as the clock winds down. You're all very talented folks and the next time I need a logo I will definitely use LogoTournament: quite an impressive group of designers!

Folks, More great updates on designs: they keep getting better and better! In the next hour or so I will begin providing feedback on them. Folks, Some exceptional tweaks going on - much appreciated. I'm trying to give feedback as best I can: sometimes it takes awhile before I can come up with a possible improvement. If I haven't provided feedback it means I haven't figured out how to improve the existing design. Thanks for being so dedicated to this particular logo: all of your designs blow away a lot of what I'm seeing elsewhere. This project has a lot more challenges than most and I truly appreciate not only your exceptional talent but your willingness to take on this project. Best, Jim

Folks, Up to this point in time I've been making unilateral decisions regarding the designs. From here on out our group at ShadowAir will be using the "Friends" feedback feature to rank the Top 5 and select the winner. So far 3 have made selections: we may have twice as many or more who eventually select their Top 5. Folks, With 1 day to go, I'd say focus on the subtleties: for instance, adding a highlight via "lighting" as was done recently. There are features in each of the Top 5 that are striking in their own way. I will be glued to the screen in the final 3 hours before picking the contest winner. Best of luck to all. Thanks, Jim

Folks, With less than 6 hours remaining, I have to say I am unbelievably impressed by your talents: the designs are all really first rate. More like 1a, 1b, 1c, etc. - varying degrees of #1, not 1-10. I will be checking updates closely for the next 3 hours and then give it my undivided attention for the final 2 hours.
