Top Three Things to Communicate
#1 - quality
#2 - innovation
#3 - experience
Our Target Audience:
Organisations looking to move business processes online or enhance existing systems.
Color Preferences
I am looking for a simple, bold logo, something that looks good at large and small (200x100px) resolutions.
I don't want any images of seagulls, rather an abstract mark as indicated above, not bird-related. The treatment of the words 'seagull systems' can be 1 or 2 colours, obviously ignore the 'ltd'.
I will be using the colour scheme and layout here: http://www.woothemes.com/demo/?t=14 - I like the green and black colours of the 2 words in the logo, could be used for Seagull Systems. The grey for the strapline works well too. Also like the strong graphic mark (frying pan), but in the case of my logo I need something serious, not playful, more fitting for a web dev company.
The colours must be complementary with the above colour scheme.
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
An orange would probably be a good colour choice for the logo's 'abstract mark'. The mark should have some depth and visual interest, be inviting to the eye.

Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
Hi guys - thanks again for the enthusiasm and all the revisions! I'm going to post on main page so it's easier to compare best aspects of all top ranking (IMO) logos.
@Charles Sels - I think the graphic element in #2 is still better sized than your latest in #72, overall balance of #2 seems better, as does spacing between words.
@Couceiro the colour balance, and balance of text weight and graphic element in your #51 to me seems best of all the submissions, but i don't like the contents of the graphic element.
@iustin.surpanelu i think the overall balance of #64 works best, however the spacing in Couceiro's #51 seems better - pls try some spacing between the graphic and 'seagull systems'. the larger graphic elements in #57 and #58 are interesting but in the case of #58 seem to heavy and overpower the text. I quite like the graphic element in #57 except the it looks like blades, ie a blender blades, and that comes across as somewhat aggressive. symbol comments/research you made were very interesting.
@bluejet Hi - i think how you've got 3 colours in the graphic element in #67 is excellent, especially orange being a small dot. this gives your graphic element an edge over all the rest. however i think your text elements are weaker than the rest.
we're getting really close, here's a summary of what i imagine the winning combination to be:
- 3 colours in graphic element like #67 - visual weight, balance of elements and spacing like #51 - web2.0 reflection on graphic element like #67 - strapline using the size of #67 and #72 - #57 i think has the strongest and most arresting/interesting graphic element, however the fact it looks like blades seems a bit aggressive
Wow guys !! so many submissions, really it's super hard to choose. i think we had 90% of the submissions in the last 10% of the contest! I'm going to re-rank the latest 50 odd submissions (it's been less than 24 hours) and I have to say to 20 finalists are all totally amazing. I wish my company could use 5 logos :-)
