Rendezvous & the HookupsLogo Design Contest

Please see the last three images - uploaded in response to the first two submissions. I'd like the space behind the words to be black. The words are the primary art.

I prefer an arrow that hooks.

As I see the logo ideas come in, it is REALLY helping me to find words for what I envision. Art Deco Neon - I think that's what I have really pictured. Art Deco Neon and Art Deco fonts are exactly what I'm hoping to see. I like Rendezvous in script, but I would LOVE to see something beyond plain letters for & the Hookups.

I also keep asking for mixed case, and not all caps. However, looking at these pictures, the Art Deco seems to use a lot of caps. If we can find an interesting font for those letters, all caps will be okay. But definitely script for Rendezvous.

The final pic above - with the word Theater - those curves, the lines on the sides of the word, are what I have pictured for my arrow. Truly, I had pictured it all in one color, with an arrow made out of those kinds of lines - a big GRAND arrow, with Rendezvous across it and & the Hookups on the arrow underneath (or beside I suppose -- whatever).

As I watch these roll in, I'm really impressed with your talent. Most of the ones from today though are getting the same comment. Ideally, this should look like a Vegas-strip-style neon sign. Notice that the signs in the pictures I attached aren't completely rectangular or oval. If I were to draw a line around your artwork, it shouldn't fall neatly into a perfect oval or rectangle. Feel free to be playful with the shape.

Also, you don't need a color as a background behind the words. (Color is okay in some kind of line, splash, or design element with the words or around the words -- line art, arrows, stars, etc.) The feel is that this is neon at night. You can't see the panel behind the tubes.
