Logo Design Brief

United States
Slogan
Ramapo United for Victory
What We Do
Not sure slogan should be included. Official name of entity is Ramapo United for Victory but emphasis is on the Ramapo United. This is a political party that will be in the November Election in the Town of Ramapo. On the ticket are democrats, republicans and independents. Outline of shape of Town of Ramapo could be used but isn't necessary. It's also a meld of different ethnicities as well. So we want to emphasis diversity coming together to win by being united and also wanting to run to bring the town together by uniting everyone.

Non-Profit
Color Preferences
Not sure. Red white and blue scream election and could be explored but it doesn't do much for the whole united/diversity thing so we are open.

However we would like it to be limited colors palette so lawns signs can be black/white/grey plus one other color like red or blue as a highlight or mark.

Also the logo should look fine in greyscale for printing on regular paper with black and white printers.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Could do something with an outline of the Town of Ramapo (see: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/6d/Village_of_Chestnut_Ridge,_Rockland_County.png/250px-Village_of_Chestnut_Ridge,_Rockland_County.png) as was done in the website Vote6Wards.org but it is not required.

Current facebook page for the group is: https://www.facebook.com/RamapoUnited?fref=ts

Someone gave them a swoosh design to start with but its not really a logo that can be readily used for branding. Am looking for something to build palm cards, lawn signs, website around.

Discussion

I am not seeing much focus on the word united. A lot of focus on Ramapo. I am interested in seeing the word united larger. Still willing to consider dropping For Victory. It's part of the official name but doesn't necessarily have to be part of the brand.

The time for entries is nearly closed. We have narrowed the list down to the top 10 but a few of these are somewhat the same with minor differences. We will give feedback on the top 10 and hope to share the final ones with the next larger group of team members and put it up for a vote.

We definitely want something that looks good on a white background and got rid of designs that had white lettering on colored backgrounds.

We are definitely starting to lean away from the inclusion of the "for victory" portion but it seems to still work in a few.

Our goal is to narrow this down to 2-3 by tomorrow and pick by Sunday. Thank you to everyone for submitting!
