What We Do
Rader Solutions is a small IT consulting firm based out of Lafayette, Louisiana, USA that provides contract IT Services to companies of all sizes nationwide. We handle everything from furnishing and setting up office systems to supporting end user issues, and everything in between. Rader Solutions also offers hosted/cloud solutions, e-mail services, remote backups and many other complementary products. We're your one-stop IT shop. (but that's not our slogan)

Color Preferences
As long as it's professional and not too busy you can pick the combination, but we lean towards the following colors: forest green, brown, white, blue, black and grey. I'm thinking we should stick to 3 colors or less.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
We'd like the logo to illustrate profits going up, and the fact that we offer hosted/managed IT infrastructure (network). Also needs to be very professional.

You know, on second thought. Let's just have fun with the colors to begin with and maybe we'll narrow it down as we go.

Great first entry gemadha. I'd like to see something a little more 2D.

JohnOne, can we please see your design with "Rader Solutions" instead of "Rader Consulting"? While part of our business is consulting we do much more than that so I think "Solutions" fits us better. (not to mention Rader Solutions is our legal business name)

I like the twist on the old logo, but would still like to see some totally new ideas also.

Dear tbougreaux-

Thanks for the feedback, I got hung up on consulting while reading your brief.

Also, if I can offer a suggestion as you go, you can click in individual entries and make a comment in the box associated with that specific logo. Using this method, you'll find you get better results as the artist in question will receive an email alert, and generally take a more detailed and personalized approach to your logo revisions.

New ideas are certainly coming, from me and others.

Cheers, John

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage more participation.
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monetary means of showing appreciation for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

1st place - 50 points
2nd place - 20 points
3rd place - 10 points
4-6th place - 5 points
7-10 place - 3 points
10th on - 1 point

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

Designers,

Just wanted to let you know not to get discouraged if we don't rank anything for the first few days. We'd like to take that time to see what sort of new, out-of the box designs you can come up with and don't want to hinder anyone's creativity by choosing any one design over another just yet.

Thanks,
Todd

Fair enough Bugy, will start ranking things tomorrow.

Great job so far everyone!

We've seen enough at this point to say that we like the logos with icons and the wording "Rader Solutions". We'd also like to see more icons that incorporate the "R" and "S", or icons like in #11, #20 or #32. Overall, we'd like an icon that's strong enough and has enough personality to hold some recognition on its own if we choose to use it without the wording. Also, we don't want any thing so detailed and complex that it is difficult to embroider on a shirt.

Hope that helps narrow it down a bit.

Had a logo meeting this morning to review the progress and got some good feedback from everyone.

We just aren't seeing anything REALLY great with the R and S in it. So let's move away from that and focus more on an icon with some meaning. An icon that can be used by itself or even with another company name (if we ever decide to change names later) and still carry some recognition. Something that illustrates what we do. What do we do? We contribute to your bottom line and make your profits go up. (no dollar signs please) We host and manage your IT infrastructure. (no clouds please) We do many other things too, but these are the aspects that we talked about focusing on today.

In the meeting I heard suggestions like:
- something resembling a crude and basic network diagram (a few dots connected with lines)
- something resembling a crude and basic molecule (may also resemble a network diagram)
- a crude spreadsheet (four squares w/ a rectangle above them?) with some representation of steady growth or increase

But let's not focus on ONLY those three suggestions. Please continue to be creative too!

I'll also change the contest Brief as much as I can to reflect these new developments.

We like the idea behind this logo: http://www4.crashplan.com/business/index.html

It may even look good with an office building instead of a house, but a house/small office would be fine too.

Wow, lots of great ideas here in the past few days! We really like the icons that show networking within a building structure. If you can incorporate upward growth into the icon that's even better! (#85 looks a bit like an UP arrow also)
