We like the ideas of incorporating a DNA helix into the design as we have a heavy genetic basis to our company. We also like connecting our company name with items that show a connection of two processes tied together in one company, as we provide products with "upstream" and "downstream" technologies. Most of our competitors only do one or the other. Symbolically helpful (though not necessary) is the idea of a double rainbow that has meaning to our company roots. Blue, red and green colors work well; done well we like grey also. When adding an object around the logo, try to focus on those that people connect to living things: humans, animals, or plants as our products are likely to be used in research somehow related to that. All of these early logos have appeal to us and help us better understand how to help you help us. Thank you so much for your participation.

We have been checking the contest often and the designs continue to build on each other. There are none I dislike as all have elements of what we want. So it is on me now. I need to speak with the selection committee later this morning after that I will give a complete ranking with additional feedback. There are additional designs now to rank after getting.clarity from the group. Thanks for your time.

We have decided to go with uppercase P and V. All the rest of the letters in lower case. And, no LLC on the logo. We are not changing the rankings on any of those not yet done that way so you can just note it going forward and adjust if you have the time on the ones submitted. Thank you for the continued interest. We are very impressed as there are so many that we really like a lot.

The Committee met and we made a major adjustment in the rankings. All of the logos that are ranked we believe could work. There were various reasons on the ones that we moved such as: seems like a common pattern other companies use, at times too complex, similar to other logos submitted that we had a slight preference for some reason, or the colors did not work. Going forward, we prefer to go without a slogan or the LLC on the logo. We can add in later if appropriate. We will continue to visit often and help you with feedback as we have it. thanks again.

Thank you to everyone for all your work and designs. We like all of the logos that are ranked. There are so many good ones that it is very hard to narrow them down and put them in the best rank. The way we are doing the contest, I screen everything to a committee of 3 (that i'm on) that meets daily. So we will have another major rearrangement in about 6 hours and repeat this process until we choose a top 5. For the top 5, the committee of 3 will meet with the 2 owners who have not yet voted or seen all of the designs. I just thought it nice for you to understand our process. There are about a half dozen themes, and some that stand out for their uniqueness. I'm hoping to narrow down the themes but it is very difficult because I see the thought put into each of them and also why it makes good sense. So once again, thank you and we will continue to be active in giving you feedback.
