AIM:
? To create a new/ revitalised ‘brand’/ image for the Princes Wharf 1 venue
? To increase local, national and international awareness of the venue
? In turn to increase higher yielding sales in the commercial market
? To eliminate the term ‘shed’ from the national/ international image of the venue as it does not resonate well with the prospective target markets
DESIGN BRIEF:
? At VMS we find the best way to create a design brief for the development of an effective ‘brand’ for a venue is to do a brainstorming session where we put what we consider to be ‘key words’ to epitomise the logo onto a white board. This session was recently conducted with the following words chose:
o Events
o Theatre
o Conferences/ Meetings
o Business
o Concerts
o Festivals
o Community
o Corporate
o Party
o Cocktails
o Exhibitions
o Waterfront
o River
o Water
o Heritage
o Maritime
o History
o Refurbishment
o Wharf
o Vast
o Industrial
o Blank canvas
o Open plan
o Fresh (Tasmanian air)
o Nautical
o Iconic
o Natural
o Transformation
o Significant
o Dynamic
o Shed
