The name PHAROS comes from the island upon which the Lighthouse of Alexandria was built. It was one of the seven wonders of the world and came to be known as PHAROS. The parent company utilizes the slogan "Guiding clients to success" which ties things together.
Our current logo is based upon the nautical symbol for a lighthouse. We would prefer to stay away from the pyramid or Egyptian theme as it is more associated with Pharaohs and not the lighthouse.
Also please note that we are not interested in conventional representations of a lighthouse.
Thank you sincerely for your submissions.

Just to clarify we are pleased with the “brand recognition” we have created with our current nautical symbol for the lighthouse and PHAROS text (if you haven’t already take a look at the links and website). We need to find a way to make that logo incorporate a forensic/security element. Something that makes our clients think law enforcement, military, rapid response, specialty team, etc. As a side note we spent a lot of time on our parent company logo/name and had many versions of lighthouses but your submission is different from any of those concepts and we applaud you for that. Great idea of using the lighthouse of Alexandria as the focal point in the “A”. We look forward to future submissions, just remember the forensic/security element is what we are looking to incorporate.

I saw something today that sparked an idea. Can we try some logos with a similar font that the TV shows CSI and 24 use for the FAST and/or Forensic and Security Technologies line to see how that looks?

Very interesting how ancient worlds come up in so many contests. It's a good thing I brushed up on my Greek, Roman and Egyptian mythology.

#53 #54 #55 Very interesting idea. We would like to see this design modified a bit. In the center under the PHAROS can you change to the acronym. (FAST) Feel free to space is accordingly and a little larger than the text there now.
Can you change the text along the top to 3 words (Professional Responsive Dynamic).
Thanks for the submission.

Hi
When the contest ends and you have made your mind and decision about the winner logo, the winner gets the 1st place, but the 2nd and 3rd place and going on forward, 4th, 5th, 6th , etc , each one or slot should be filled with a separate designers and different concepts - this helps towards each designers' rankings and also it is a way for you to show your appreciation of the hard effort put in from the beginning by each designer or appreciating a nice design concept put in earlier in the contest that may have helped shape the contest.

Just a suggestion to spread the trophies and ribbons around! Thanks.

We would like to thank all of the designers who have submitted their work so far. We have extended the contest due to the fact that we have had such great entries and different ideas that we needed to review. We have developed a plan of action to complete this contest by this Friday. It will be 3 days before the listed end of the contest. We will be in contact today to further discuss the changes to different logo designs.

We will adjust the rankings to insure that all designers get a good placement in the rankings, as Charcoal suggested.
