What We Do
We get songs/music placed in records, film, advertising, web content, etc. to get the songwriters PAID!

Color Preferences
Open, but want it simple--2 or 3 colors. See below . . .
Our Ideas & Additional Information
We'd like a global/spherical/round element incorporated--like music enveloping/orbiting the globe; Also looking forward to linking this logo to a related record label logo, to be designed soon and likely though this site, satisfaction pending!(also incorporating a similarly-scaled round element, perhaps a record??); We like the Delicious Vinyal logo, also, lots of the work we've seen by designers on this site! Go for it!

OOOps! Yeah, that would be Delicious Vinyl, deliciousvinyl.com; Not loving the hobo-like guy, but that's sort of the vibe; Also, contests here that got my attention: Handsome Devil Records, FanBase., Flag Mob, Photo Rocket, The Marksmen, Bone Dry. looking forward to cool, brand establishing music biz creations!!

Cool vibe, on #2 Drew! Check my comment to iamtiff (I'll post it publicly tomorrow) for more guidance. You've got a good feel going, though!

verevemedia i really like your # 4

#2 by Drew is cool, modern, simple, incoporates a music reference and sparks curiosity. Very nice. Love the colors and combo too!
#10 by iamtiff is closest to what was originally in my mind's eye, and a great improvement after feedback! I'd like it to be more web 2.0/3-dimensional though. Love the orbits--that's sort of the idea, unless I'm not aware of something better, yet! Would even like to see the winning entry be a design that looks great both static (print) and dynamic (web/TV/film), in a java-like animation.
#9 also has the orbiting/pervasive element, and a music reference--it thin that's important, as "publishing" is not always understood to be music-related too (that all the publishing we do).
#8 & #5 also cool feel, but no musical reference, maybe too much emphasis on the words, not the graphic image. I'd like to see more images. THat's mostly whey the ones I passed on are there, not as graphical, 3D or music minded. Keep up the great work!!

#17 has a similar, hip feel as #2, like the color combos again, and REALLY like a new take on the "pervasive" message w/ multiple orbits. It does look like an atom though, so science comes to mind b4 music--even w/ the gold record staring me in the face.
#15, good take on the music/orbits elements, would prefer more depth/3D, different colors, hipper font--not sure I like all caps, but not foreclosing yet.
#16 has a good feel, somewhat simple, but has depth. Perhaps reversing the B&W, so hte record does not look like an eyeball, although that grabs attention.

Funky yet readable fonts are good to try. Others not selected because too much emphasis on text vs. image.

Good stuff, all! Always exciting to see how your designs develop! Here's some random thoughts: #37, #40, #19 & #20 all represent pervasive element in new methods--keep that up; Liking the refined, contemporary fonts, w/ retro/funky flavor--not too crazy or unreadable though #2, #17, #9, #19 & #23 are good examples--and if you're going to accentuate one word over the other, Pervasive is the good choice; Good job keeping the colors few (but no B&Ws please) and the designs simple--not too much detail; Perhaps some more examples w/ the text wraped around the graphic, such as #10, or even #9??? Keep up the great creations!

Those references above should be #20 & #23 (not 2_0 or 2_3). Damn you, spacebar!

For F'ing (blank) sake! I just typed the most heart-felt ramble to you all that I've EVER typed to others, creatives or otherwise, and this Jackass software must have decided my emotions & verbal acknolgements had a pre-determined deadline?!! WHatever, the jist was: You all are blowing me away--from preconceived ideas, to early favs being replaced by your creative concepts, well beyond my thoughts and others' contributions! Cool! Talk soon! Keep it up!!!

OK, with some time to compose myself & 5 DAYS to go in the competition, here's some new feedback. I continue to be impressed w/ the new interpretations of essential elements & your responses to feedback, love the new designers throwing in and want you all to hear this:
#63 uses the globe as the spherical element w/ orbits/directional arrows to indicate the "pervasive" message, which we believe best exemplifies our Clients' music (and our pitching efforts). Consider 3 orbits, or other indication of motion, w/ the "planets" being: 1) a music note, 2) the copyright symbol~(c) and 3) the money symbol $--subtle, w/ the musical note most prominent (biggest?);
#75, #55, #79 have cool, creative examples of the round element, and pervasive music--love the unique thoughts!
#82 has a great web 2.0/3D globe and orbiting arrows; I’d encourage more progressive, contemporary font for “publishing”—for example #2, #17, #23 or even your own #52. Perhaps other, contemporary colors/combos?
Finally, consider representing "pervasive" motion elements as missile launch or flight patterns, initiating from the globe surface, but going out into global orbit?? i.e. music "taking off" into orbit.
You all are great! Unbelievably creative interpretations! Looking forward to the winning concept!

P.S. #82 has 2nd circle which unnecessarily competes w/ the globe's spherical element, which it shouldn't--use the music notes (and other orbiting signs) w/o the circle--and soften/hip those fonts!

Note to Tyler/admin: 4 times now, I've crafted very detailed feedback for the benefit of the designers (and ultimately, us as a CH), only to have the lenghty, detailed feedback to disappear when I tried to post it. No warning. No prompt that my drafting "timed out" or better, should be saved because it was about to time out. No way to restate that feedback, unless I chose to take twice the time to retype it, by memory. I've chosen not to 2X, ranted once, remembered once to copy before posting (which saved a 5th time of frustration) and finally tried to alert you thru a forum thread this last time, but somehow couldn't. I'd prefer to give detailed feedback, but may have to give one sentence shots, just to keep it fresh enough to get posted. Help?

eyefiber, I'll take the blame: I encouraged more details and different colors, but don't think they work as well on paper as I thought. Too much detail and/or color gets away from what we're looking for. My bad on suggesting all the signs as orbiting elements, but still like the music notes, in orbit, not just sitting on the logo. #2 & #17 have stayed at the top of our list b/c they are simple, yet VERY good color combos and attention grabbers. w/o clutter. #85 is our fave of eye's newest 3--can Pervasive be moved off the globe to simplify, or would that expand the detail? Still believe the sphere/circle element needs to be the globe, w/ pervasive music arround it, reflecting Clients' music/our efforts. Thanks to SpeedLogo and saturninus for new entries. #87 still has best 3D/web2.0 version of globe and "pervasive" elements. Anyone willing to try the missile launch pervasive representation?? Thanks for all your works & imagination!

BTW, orange isn't necessarily "the" color. I just realized it's represented lots at the current top of the list. Just like those designs. Also like the brown w/ B&W, blue & green (but newer, not classic primary/secondary versions), or others. 3 color @ most, please.

bluejet's in da house! Thanks for your contribution. #89 is creative and simple, but probably too subtle for what we're seeking. Really need to get the message across fairly quickly: music, pervasively spreading as far & wide as possible. Hoping for more!!

eyefibre, can "Publishing" come off the globe w/o ruining the logo? Perhaps above w/ slightly more arc--mimicing an orbit itself? Also, like the cursive font, but the "P" is a bit difficult read at first glance. Any remedies? Also, the "PUBLISHING" font is somwhat hard, and reminds me of circus font. Any others that might work? Finally, thanks for the new colors. Any similarly unique greens?
