What We Do

This is an event for church youth workers who work with middle school students (junior highers, 11 - 14). but it is NOT an event for young teens themselves.

it's important that this logo stay away from looking childish or juvenile; so i'd suggest staying away from bright and playful colors.

Our Ideas & Additional Information

i'm thinking that clean and strong is better than cute. i'm wondering if a 3-d effect could provide the combination of clean/strong and fun that is my ideal.
*** i do NOT want overtly religious symbolism as part of the logo

another idea i'd love to have someone play with: something m.c.escher-ish; whether it's playing with one letter, a few of them, or a design behind or otherwise integrated with the typography, a visual effect like a mobius strip (or a square like this: http://www.cs.technion.ac.il/~gershon/EscherForReal/EscherCube2Wood.jpg, or this: http://img3.visualizeus.com/thumbs/08/09/05/3d,brain,color,design,escher,geometric,geometry,letter,perspective,pyramid,real,redblue,sight,space,square,triangle,vision-6f624d213e09cd52f8b0a01409a8cdb6_m.jpg), or something similar. this would subtly connect with my audience (because our work often feels like that!); and would provide the modern 3D effect i'm hoping for.
