Love BoatLogo Design Contest

thanks guys so far, but none of the designs is even coming near to what i'm looking for to be honest...

What kind of boats? Cruise ships? Yatchs?

the parties take place on a river boat.the boat is about 50 meters long and goes over two levels, one, the most important for us, is the open air deck.

i'm looking for something funky, best with a charcter or similar, rather than having just letters and a background...

come on! 9 logos in 1 week!? that's all? i think that this should be much better! contest extended for one week!

Contest usually see the most entries on the last day or so. Many designers wait to submit their ideas.

As contests near ending they rise to the top of the list. Extending repositioned your contest to page 3. It might take a while again to see entries come in.

It might help if you post some pictures of your boat and or parties. Perhaps mention a few logos that you like. Adding more to your brief might inspire designers.

i only asked two persons directly to provide some designs, as they do designs that i'm looking for. so far, the designs have been pretty poor to be honest, nothing special or outstanding. only because the first ranked entry was at number one, it didn't mean that i'm looking for such a design, and it didn't mean, that everyone else, now is doing a similar design, but poorer. that's why they go directly to the bin... sorry

i'm looking for something oroginal, funky, doesn't even have to have a boat in the design, what everyone is doing. maybe a character (like sailors or similar), or in a tattoo stlye. there's so many possibilities that can be done, but haven't been done so far...

well, I I don´t think you will receive a character design for the minimum prize. And not providing feedback is not helpinh. We really don´t know what direction to take.

the character design was the thing that i was after from the beginning! ok, it's not a lot of money, only the minimum, but why not trying it. as there are no character designs yet, the one who is doing one, has good chances to win... it's pretty simple...

if i tell you people out there, how the logo should look like exactly, i can do it myself in photopshop, etc... except if it's a character ;-)

If you told the designers exactly what it is you want, you stand a better chance of actually getting what you want. It seems you already have something in mind that you are looking for. Things would work smoother if you just told us what that was.
You want a character.
Should it be male, female, or both?
young or old?
what should they be wearing? formal wear, casual, bathing suits?
What should the character be doing? dancing, drinking, singing, sitting in a lounge chair?
