Good composition and appropriate icon (#25). It will be great if you can suggest also something even more unconventional but still obviously suggesting finance. Try to convey the idea of convenience and speed of achieving the tasks. The rotating arrows suggest more things like recycling rather than convenience and speed.
Your logo is still one of the best but we would like to see at least one more concept (different from the first). I suppose you didn't had much time to work over the weekend - if you find time on Monday this will be great.
We wold not like to make it abstract. It should not be plain and trivial but it should not be abstract too. Do you have the time to give some more options?
Yes, I can give it some more thought. As long as you keep the designers you would like to work with ranked in the Top 5, they can continue to submit designs through the next phase of the contest.
Yes, the thing is that we have saw only one appropriate logo from you. It's probably the bast one till now but we would like to be sure you are able to generate ideas. To be honest none of the logos so far is covering our expectations. That's why we would like to move forward with designers who are capable to generate a lot of ideas and to be creative, even if not all the ideas are brilliant. Can you please suggest some other options for the logo so we can assure that success of the first logo you suggested is not just a coincidence.
I like your work. I see you put a lot of thought in your designs which is great. If you can not find some new and different suggestion we can try some variations of #25. Still a new concept will be highly appreciated.
To be honest I don't know what is the procedure from now on. Do we need to select 5 designers explicitly or we just continue working the same way? In fact I requested extending the Open phase but no one answered me so I suppose we just continue with the next stage.
I see your contest has been extended, so you can just continue as you have been. Once you get to Top 5, only the five highest ranked designers can submit, but you can change the rankings to allow designers in if you wish. If you have any other questions about how it works, feel free to ask.
If I was happy with the standard "financial icons" I was not going to request extending the submission period :) I count on you and very few others to come up with an original and smart icon that communicates finance but is not a standard icon. #25 is a perfect example - it has just enough financial symbolic to be clear but in the same time it's not standard. We would like to see few other options with the same quality but exploring different angles.
Let's continue and refine #25. Here is the feedback we have:
- Make the icon smoother - experiment with thinner arrows and rounded angles. Make it more fresh and "Live" (adjective). - Experiment with the graph in the middle - Make the font more light (thinner) and wider (wider letters, not condensed). It should feel modern and vibrant. - Use all-caps. The "i" should be without the dot. - The 10-K should have a hyphen - Experiment with making the logo and the text with the same height - Experiment with different treatment (and possibly placement) for the 10-K part
Please add the hyphen in 10-K. Can you suggest few more options for the font? Also can you please make few experiments with the treatment and the placement of the 10-K.
We will have a meeting with the rest of the team tomorrow morning and it's really important to have a refined version till then. There are just a few things that need to be done so I hope you will manage. Please let me know if that won't be possible.
Here is what we need for tomorrow: - Use #381 as a starting point - Make the arrows thinner so the icon is not that "bordered" - Make the rounded corners of the icon a bit not that rounded. We want it to feel more like a sheet of paper. - Add the hyphen in the 10-K
We also need to do some color variations. Please provide both of them in addition to the B&W logo. The two directions we want to explore are: - Subtle colors to make it feel serious and solid - Bright colors to make it feel vivid and dynamic
Can you please try to make the bright colors version more Web2.0. The subtle colors need to be different - try something like #97946B and #4B4640.
The arrows in #401 are very interesting. Please do the new color versions using them. It will be good to have also a b&w version of this logo. It will be great if you can play a bit more with the current version of the logo and try to find some other interesting options like #401.
My apologies, it turned into a late night at the ballfield. I posted 5 more versions for you. Hopefully that will give you enough to discuss at your meeting. I look forward to hearing the thoughts from your group.
The meeting went really great and the team loved the logo :)
Lets continue on #408. In terms of shape it's almost there - it will be just interesting to see in with the icon having the same height as the text. Currently it's like a stairway going down from the left to the right. It will be good if we can get away from this.
In terms of colors - we need a bit more work. We need more options for the subtle set. Try making it also more refined - something ready to be put on the website.
Hi Todor. I posted a couple of color options to get the conversation started. The background color behind your current "logo" seemed too light, so I switched to a darker color for more contrast.
Unfortunately we need to use that background color. #412 looks better. It's good to have the 10-K colored but probably it should be a bit more prominent because otherwise the company name reads just "LIVE". The icon should be also more prominent.
Lets try working with a scale of the background color without adding additional colors to the logo. By scale I mean using lighter and darker variations of the background color to draw the logo.
Thanks! I talked with the rest of the team and they said they still want to see a color version. I think the monochrome option will be good but we still need to experiment with other color schema. Probably if you play more with the effects on the logo that might help to make it feel bettor on that background.
I saw you removed the other options. It will be good to have them for reference.
Let's try the lower part of the icon to be lighter color too (probably different from the upper again). Please try also to make the logo not that flat - apply some filters so that it looks more embossed and in general more "interesting".
