Lingo FrancaLogo Design Contest

Lingo Franca is a cloud-based, language learning platform for business English and English for specific purposes. Our primary users will be private language schools and language training and services companies who want to create a web-based version of their academic content. Our platform will be a flexible, turnkey solution for academic content, and course and school-level management. Lingo Franca will specifically target a niche within the LMS market that has few, if any direct competitors. Our peers include Khan Academy, Edsby, Talent LMS, Udemy, Edmogo, Moodle, MacMillian English Campus and Absorb LMS.

I'm not entirely sure, but I know that blues and greens are frequently used colors in this space. I personally like strong forest green type colors and darker blues. The logo will at first only be used on the Web against a white or light background.

One idea that I saw for a logo was to show the company name Lingo Franca in the phonetic prononuciation format, like you would see in a dictionary entry. In other words, placing a middot after the "n" in Lingo, and after the "n" in Franca. I thought this was clever because it invokes vocabulary and language learning with just a subtle visual.
