Our Ideas & Additional Information
We are looking at a refresh or possibly redesign of our main logo. We used the compass concept helping to GUIDE consumers into finding a lawyer. We like the idea of trying to convey a Compass or guiding image, with the use of the company Name, Lawyers Guide, and with or without the slogan. We are attaching our current logo, and two color samples of different user experiences that we are playing with that would be the background for the image. Keeping these colors in mind in the design. But we would need it in white or no background color as well. NEED .ESP and possible other formats to come. You can see the actual logo in use at

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ After your contest closes it will enter Judging phase. You can re-rank designs in Judging.
~~ While in Judging, the designer ranked in first place can submit revisions

We would also like to see some logo emblems incorporating not just "LG" in the design of the logo, but also scales, scales of justice, gavel, things that convey lawyer or attorney in the logo; either alone, or in addition to the LG, within the compass concept or other similar ideas conveying guidance.

Thank you

Try to convey in the logo..
#1 - Guide (Compass) to Consumers to find a Lawyer
#2 - That the Logo is related to Law
#3 - The Logo is Clean, Clean and Easy to Read in different sizes, with the Name alone, and Name and Slogan

Explore different Compass/Guide styles with a set of different scales styles inside the compass with the different color variations, keeping it clean and clear so it can be made small or large depending on use.

PLEASE SEE OUR ATTACHED CURRENT MAIN LOGO AS WE ARE TRYING TO REFRESH THIS LOGO TO WORK WITH THE ATTACHED COLOR SCHEME BACKGROUNDS

Thank you

SHIFT IN FOCUS WE ARE MOVING AWAY FROM TRYING TO REINVENT/REFRESHING THE CURRENT LOGO, INSTEAD WE ARE LOOKING FOR WORDMARK OR WEB 2.0 TO EMPHASIZE AND ENHANCE OUR NAME

"Lawyers Guide" or "LawyersGuide.com"

explore either option, but what we want to achieve is a logo that we can put on our site, and the name can stand alone by itself. Different fonts, styles etc..

examples: microsoft, dell, fed ex, skype, flickr, facebook,

When using designing the wordmark or web 2. mark. KEEP IN MIND THE BACKGROUND COLORS THAT WILL BE USED ARE THE ATTACHED DARK BLUE, and BURGUNDY so something that would compliment this!

Thank you all,

Please feel free to try different font styles, shapes, sizes etc of the the Web 2.0 concept like "Skype" but or other Web 2.0 ideas

Please feel free to try without using the slogan: just the name "Lawyer Guide"

NARROWED TYPE OF MARK TO:

WORDMARK or WEB 2.0;

Try to incoporate a possible 3d feel, bold, color transitions, and maybe shadow"; making the L and G bigger than the other letters. We are trying think outside the box, to look professional, clean, but yet different.

Using the name: "LAWYERS GUIDE"

with slogan as an add on variation

Thank you

Last night the re-design team commented that we stay away from button-y looking logos; that we stay true to more of a Wordmark or Web 2.0 with just the Name "Lawyers Guide" with the variation of the slogan in there.

This mark will be primarily used for the new logo for the website, and new letterhead and business cards. As this is very important for the company. Alot of good talent, we look forward to seeing more of a wordmark or web 2.0 piece. With emphasis of making the name standout!!

Thank you
