Welcome designers !

This is for the same client as the previous Ecolomique contest (https://logotournament.com/contests/ecolomique). Similar products, but different positioning: NO bio / eco-friendly spin. The main point is value for money and practicality on this one.

Thanks for the initial entries guys.

We have not had the chance to get specific feedback from the client yet, so I'll go out on a limb here.

My initial general recommendation would be to keep things simple. On the last Ecolomique contest (https://logotournament.com/contests/ecolomique) that was run for the same client, the winning logo winded up being something very simple.

You are more than welcome to make pictorial illustrations based on disposable dishware, but it needs to be very simple / minimalist / stylized. Otherwise, feel free to think out of the box as well !

Again, the main things to communicate:

- Low cost / value for money
- Practicality

I will rank and post comments again in the morning once I have heard back from the client.

Just some more general feedback, as I have made the same kind of comments to a few designers:

It needs to really convey the "value for money" / low-cost positioning. The previous Ecolomique contest for this client https://logotournament.com/contests/ecolomique - the winner conveyed a "bio-friendly" / ecological image by adding a very simple bamboo shot inside the green circle.

Maybe somehting very simple can be done to convey the value for money aspect on this one (no $ signs please though). It can be via the pictorial or even a choice of font, but many designs we have seen felt too "classy", sometimes even looked more like a restaurant image than a disposable dishware image.

I just spent some time making some specific comments but just realized that some of them were adressed to designers that were not among the ones the client wishes to keep for the top 5 phase we just entered.

The designers selected were:

We have seven designers for 5 spots, so I may switch the positions until Tuesday, to allow everyone to submit new entries.

Please PM me if you are in the list of 7 above, but not ranked top 5 and would like to submit some new stuff, and I will switch the ranks to allow you to submit.

I will do my best to check in and make comments a couple times a day over the week-end.

Many thanks to everyone for all the great work. We are going to enter the judging phase in a few minutes. We may ask some of you for some final minor tweaks, but the decision process should be fairly quick and we are hoping to announce the winner by the end of the week.
