Here is the feedback from the meeting. The company only had interest in the remaining logos that are ranked. Thank you for those who have worked hard on their submissions thus far. Please continue to submit new entries using this new information provided below. Also we wanted to comment on all the logos publicly as to provide the most detailed feedback to all who will continue to participate.
Do not want any "serif" style type designs.
Do not want a rugged look.
Wants a refined modern look.
Colors should be rust like #45 all by itself, or use a dark forest green with dark brown. Glossy, shadows, gradients are welcome.
***For all remaining entries: Please use your creative talents and use this image as the "A" in KAP:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/b4/Compass_%28drafting%29.jpg (a drafting compass). Be sure to make the "A" form the shape or resemblance of a drafting compass in a unique or dynamic way, but at the same time it still recognizable as an "A" if possible.
MMeans: Your designs are very creative, but any serif style should be removed. Because you have worked so hard this far, we wish to ask for you to continue to participate as we feel you have the talent to win. Please submit a completely different entry using the information above. It has been decided that the yellow safety stripes in the logo are not wanted. Your creative thinking with the shape and the "A" is nice, a triangle shape alone is not wanted, instead use a compass design/shape, and remove any box around it as it makes it hard to know it is an "A".
ArtbyRT: Your 3 balls design was well liked, enough to push it to the top spot. Although KAP are initials of one person they liked the idea that each letter had its own place, independent but together, like a family feeling. It was requested that we see a few different type choices for the "KAP" keeping in mind that serif type is not wanted, so use similar styling to what you have. It is requested that you add to the depth, if you can curve the balls giving it depth where the A-ball is slightly back and the K&P-balls are to the side angled slightly inward, forming an arc in-depth.
kib647: The simplicity of your design #1 was liked, it is requested you use the colors we want to see. Also for you to incorporate the compass theme into the "A". We would like to see a slight graphic separate the KAP from Design Group, possible a small line with a very slight wave.
For #2 please follow our color scheme requests and incorporate the compass theme into the "A".
KB Designs: Your entry was found to be well liked from the start, we are interested in seeing if you can incorporate the compass theme into the "A". How about a rusty color like #45 and very dark green with very dark brown shimmer for the border bevels.
IdeazDen: Your design seems similar to #9 aside from the graphic shape, you will have to be very unique in incorporating the compass theme into the "A". Please remove the triangle/pyramid.
the B: For #4 please follow our color scheme requests and incorporate the compass theme into the "A". It was immediately felt that the "A" looks like a 4. Also the serif style type is not wanted. The company felt you had a very creative idea but it needs to evolve. Additionally your portfolio shows you have the talent to make great logos.
Again thank you very very much for all you hard work, this process has been great so far and we look forward to getting this done ASAP.
