What We Do
We produce a TV series and operate food service locations themed from farm to table.
Industry
Restaurant
Color Preferences
The logo must be primarily green, maybe all green with various shades. We appreciate color too if its content fitting.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Here are our current logos and some photos of production from our TV series, some apparel, banners, & catered events:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/ikaikakimura/sets/72157625196152246/

Our new logo must convey food and be universal and versatile enough for multiple applications. We would also like to see the text "Hawaiian Grown ___________" on the logo with the underline as editable text for us to change out to our various brands. Example, Hawaiian Grown Kitchen, Hawaiian Grown Catering, Hawaiian Grown Bistro, Hawaiian Grown TV, Hawaiian Grown Sauces, Hawaiian Grown Restaurants, Hawaiian Grown Cafe, Hawaiian Grown Produce, etc… One brand, multiple divisions and extensions.

We'd like the logo to be easily manipulated into various looks for various genres as well. Something we can colorize, distort, skew, and transform into different variations all the while maintaining the basic form for continuity. The logo must be primarily green, maybe all green with various shades. We appreciate color too if its content fitting.

The logo will get very high traffic and visibility online, on TV, on print material, clothing, aprons, chef coats, hats, shirts, embroidery and print on collateral material for branding reasons.

Here are some elements we'd like to see in the logo:
Taro Leaf
Hawaiian Fish Hook or Palaoa
Poi Pounder
Yellowfin Ahi
Hawaiian Islands
Hawaiian Landscape - Mountains, Valleys, Tidepools, Fishponds, Taro Patches
Pineapple or Papaya - We are the only state in the USA that grows these crops

These are elements we DO NOT want to see in the logo
Coconut Tree
Sugar Cane
Surfing
Wind Surfing
Parasailing
Ocean Sports
Tourism Themed Activities
Diamond Head
Hawaiian Flag
Waves

Good Luck!

Hi! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank and re-rank a variety of designs to get a variety of new entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monetary means of showing appreciation for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked in the top 10. We like to earn points.

~~ NOTE: While in JUDGING mode, the designer ranked in 1st can still submit revisions.

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

Very nice start! While each logo has one element, we're interested to see how it would look to incorporate multiple elements into the logo without it being too cluttered. Logo #3 has 2 elements, the poi pounder and the taro leaf. The others have only one element. Nonetheless, its on the right track!

I have not ranked any of the designs as nothing has made a huge impact on us. The green theme works us us. We are leaving the appealing logos however and will rank once something stands out from the rest.

The green shades work. We like that. We also like how the words "Hawaiian" and "Grown" are 2 separate shades of green.

We like #30 for the fact that elements surround the text. The same for #35 and #15.

We like the shades of green Jekson and Melisari are using.

We like the Ahi in #35, the taro leaves used by Jekson and Melisari.

We also like the horizontal look of the logo like most of you have.

Maybe some of the elements can surround the text "Hawaiian Grown"

We like how #40 tries to encompass the mountain to ocean feel.

Although the logos are ranked, they are in no order of our favorite to worse. They each have elements we like and therefore want them to be placed at the top.

We like #5 but would like to see elements from #30 instead of a plain horizontal bar encasing the word sauces. I also like #12 how the taro leaves garnish the "N" in Grown and #15 how the taro leaves make up the dots of the "I's" in Hawaiian. The poi pounder is a another cool element we'd like to see.
