The work is excellent so far. Thank you! Here's what we like about each of the designs so far:
#7 design by jesicasstudio is simple and easy to reproduce, capturing a rising sun over a historic city treasure.
#10 by IM Cathyadi gives a more modernistic look to the bridge and the treatment emphasizing "Havasu Future" and downplaying "Foundation" places emphasis where it seems more important. Yet we are also uncomfortable with the wave and sky treatment, as they seem disruptive to a flat lake without waves (most desired by boaters) and the sky's sunbeams seem out of place without a sun to resonate from.
#8 by Jesicastudio is the best multi-color design of the first nine submitted. The sky similarity to the Arizona flag is a wonderful touch, and some way of incorporating the California flag, since we are right on the border, might be another nice touch (although it may be way too much, too... just a thought!).
#11 by IM Cathyadi is another version of #10, but the contrast between colors offers little contrast and does not seem to add much to the strong design
#3 by creak is a simple design that exudes reliability and strength. It may be just perfect when this contest is ultimately judged by the Havasu Foundation Board of Directors, but it may be just a little too simple, too.
#1 by creak is simple and classic, without changing the fonts, which makes it a strong option. But the curved design treatment over the top seems to mirror what our local hospital uses for its logo.
#6 by creak seems strong and elegant, but the graphic seems to make the name "Havasu" a little harder to read and may be viewed as a distraction
#9 by BiZiGraphik is wonderfully inventive, yet the archways beneath the bridge seem to give it a predatory feel, like the fins on a shark or the hairs on the back of an arm. Nice try, however, to be a little more original.
#4 by creak seems like it might make a nice trademark, but it comes across a little alien or foreign, like runes in a Frank Hubbert novel. This is a very elegant, almost mystical treatment, but it may not convey the sense of trust we wish to instill on the part of a potential donor to the foundation.
#5 by creak takes #4 one step further with an additional checkmark graphic in the 'A." We don't think the additional graphic element really adds anything to the design.
#2 by creak creates a somewhat distracting element in the "V" and seems to take #3 to an unnecessarily complicated level.
Thanks again to everyone for such great work!
