Entry #1, not bad. I like the idea. Just wondering if there is something else you can do with it like maybe a boarder around the whole thing with and backfill with color. Maybe an oval or rectangle.
Entry #23, good work. I liked the darker blue for GWL and do you have and alternative exterior boarder? My thinking is the light blue background just kind of fades into the exterior oval boarder. Don't get me wrong, I like it but I am looking for a little more definition. Thanks John.
Entry #1, John I really like this design. I would like to see some type of symbol incorporated to the left of what you have already produced. I would like my logo to incorporate not only the name of the company but a little something extra if you know what I mean. Thank you for all of your hard work. Much appreciated.
Entry #44, John overall things are looking really good. I was wondering if you could give me a couple of different font types for GWL just for kicks? Thanks again and have a great weekend.
John thank you for the new entries. I know we are getting close. Can you look at entry #64. See how the pryamid is lined up to the left and the GWL / ADJUSTERS is stacked to the right. Can you follow the same format with your designs and see how it looks. I discussed your design with a few people and their eye was drawn to ADJUSTERS first. Basically we are making the star bigger on the left and stacking GWL on top of Adjusters. Let me know if you need more details. Thanks again!!
John, quick question after the contest is over and I receive the downloaded file will I be able to make any future changes to the design/logo? change the color, font, etc.....
When the contest ends, you'll receive an EPS file that contains all the logo elements as separate editable components, but you will need a vector-based drawing application (such as Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw) to make changes. Using these programs, changing the color is a relatively basic task.
At the EPS level, the typefaces will not be a "font" per se, but drawings of letters. This allows the shape and spacing of the letters to be consistent and universally scalable. You could however isolate the other elements from the existing type, and insert a new typeface in their place if desired.
If you happen to select one of my entries, I'd be glad to email you additional formats to facilitate any future modification.
