#27 and #28 are great new additions to the mix. it is making it tough to decide what we like and where to go. there are elements of the current top five (22, 23, 25, 27 and 28) that we like quite a lot. Are there other colors or elements we should be considering?
I think you guys have done a great job at explaining what you want and the feedback thus far has been great! Most of the "growlers" that I googled have a simple 1 or 2 color design and overall they have an etched design look as well - this tells me to keep it simple (something that makes for easy to print and/or easy to read). As a designer we also appreciate other designs - #7 and #9 are great designs and just from a design point of view should be given a second look - don't get me wrong, they aren't as good as mine (ha).
Thanks for your feedback. We're definitely NOT designers, so it is great to see what you guys come up with. We know beer, not designs. Which is not a bad place to be. We keep coming back to #7 and #9 as well. The growler is very cleverly incorporated and we dig the font as well as the way the tag line works. There's something about the tap handle that keeps us double thinking it. There are three or four now that we can see working well for different situations. The rectangular/linear look of #25 would fit well splashed across the header of the blog. #7 and #9 are quite professional looking. Your #29 and #30 just raised the bar quite a bit and would make a great beer coaster or a logo on a t-shirt or jacket. The bubbles and head of beer in the growler really kicked it up a notch.
I think you've got #39 where we want it. On #40, we'd like to figure out a way to go back to the solid white "O" as in #30, but get the top clear. The new "O" in #40 looks too much like a circle and not a letter. Perhaps reverting to the solid white while outlining the upper part of the growler in brown (leaving the interior clear) would work?
Thanks Mike. We still don't know which one we want, but want them both to be just right before we choose. We're also hoping you're a craft beer lover, but that's not a deal killer.
A friend actually brews his own beer here and I OFTEN help him sample. I'll be honest - have never actually had beer from a growler (unless you count Grolsch). but a good beer has always been my preference. Over the counter brand that I partake in the most would be blue moon, sweet smooth and reasonably priced.
just an after thought - my preference is the Oval #39 - it captures the feel of beer label style but cleaner and the Type style being used (both actual style and color) is more readable and hopefully catches ones eye. - just thinking out loud. M
