#3. Thanks for getting started. It is a good place to start talking about where to go. I think I'm looking at something that focuses mostly on the words "Growler Fills" perhaps with the tag line "- Craft Beer Enthusiasm -" underneath it. Then, if there is a way to incorporate elements of craft beer into - perhaps before or after the workds, or even in the background, that would be the next stage. It is a true blog at this point, but we're looking for a design that will transcend the blog as the business grows into more than just a blog.
hello, i went back to the drawing board and came up with this: a 'tap' in the W of growler and the growler jug in the middle of the double L's of fills. i'm showing you both a positive and negative color version as well as ones with the jug empty and ones with the jug partially full. the font usage is sophisticated and will hold up well over time.
let me know if you have additional thoughts or direction.
hi, saw your comment on the main page. i can definitely put this in a label format - i will make some revisions and upload some new versions for you tomorrow morning. i was also thinking of adding a 'head' to the beer in the growler to make it more realistic....do you think that would be better?
Kyle, we're digging your ideas and there's definitely a lot of good stuff to work with here. The growler is a bit too subtle, but very cleverly incorporated into the design. A head on the beer would be realistic and might help make the growler stand out a bit more. Perhaps even beer streaming down into the growler from the tap for a little action. As another idea, what about changing the top of the tap handle to an oval or square top (i.e. a deschutes brewing or sam adams tap handle, for example) and pointed to the right like a tap handle being opened to pour beer?
here is that beer label design. i added the rectangle top on the tap and made it look like the tap was open, as requested. added some hops to further relay the message of quality craft beer with quality ingrediants. let me know if you have any more direction for this logo. thanks.
Thanks Kyle. The head on the beer definitely works as does the beer flowing into the growler. We're pondering the hops, though the extra color is nice. We're not sure if the label starts to make it look a little too stuffy and are pondering that too. We're trying to walk a fine line between looking professional, but not stuffy.
sure, i understand. here is the updated version with just the words and none of the other ornimentation so you can compare. let me know if you have any other ideas you'd like me to implement.
hi, i withdrew the label one because i feel it really doesn't fit the style you're describing... i have an idea of a tap with multiple growlers below, waiting to be filled....is that something you think you might be interested in?
Sure. I appreciate you continuing to work on it. Your growler is still the most accurate and the head and beer stream have the best action. Ultimately, #9 is just a little too subtle of a growler and the central graphic kind of interrupts the words. But still like the professional font and setting off the tag line quite a lot.
wanted to let you know i won't be able to submit any new designs (home with sick child today), but i'm sure you will get a great logo here. there are other great submissions here already besides my own. best of luck with the remainder of the contest
