Some of the early entries are maybe a bit TOO simple - want fun - excitement - something that will make you take a double-take when you see it on a shirt or a poster.... need a bit more illustration of the theme.

Last year colors were bright green, blue and orange on a black shirt - doesn't need to be the same but should be equally vibrant.

feedback from client for all - "great start: we want classic simple modern designs to depict fun and music and excitement (not cartoony though) not too busy - be sure to include a DNA strand some way."

Next Tuesday will be the next client review... thanks for all the great entries so far... look forward to more different approaches so I can show her some REAL alternatives - so if someone has a Different concept - please enter it soon!

remember no gradients please... all instruments and music related symbols should be open... but there may also be icons to depict fun and festival atmosphere!

Note these rankings are just for organization purposes right now and to "get my activity meter back up" The client has to review all of them and I will send her the new ones today.... I hope she will pick from these soon.... Thanks for all the great ideas. Carol

This latest feedback is that the designs are too busy - can we get a few more simple ones in the last few hours? PLEASE - hate to extend but may need to.... am I a bad CH????

OH dear -her first reaction is that they are "not original enough"- I will try to get more specific feedback before we decide if we can modify one of the current designs or if we need to try for a different direction. I hate to be one of those that sit in Judge mode for a while but please be patient - I will re-arrange per her instructions soon.

this is one of those cases where it would help to allow the top 3 to submit modifications - will try to get one she loves without extending but you never know. The event is this summer!

This is what she said: "I think that they all look the same. They all have a guitar or keyboard which looks like last year's design. I'm looking for more of a rock concert logo - not a rehash of last year's design. Some of them are too busy, too cartoonish or not very imaginative. If the Rolling Stones came to them to design the poster for their concert, what would they do? It can't be what they've sent me."

Gosh I hate to do that to you all. Start looking for inspiration at 'music' images other than instruments maybe - major rock group posters and things like that and pick the simple ones....The event is this summer.

Oh my, will we have microphones? I will watch out for that offending one that crops up from time to time! <g>

I hope we can make her happy - the concert is in San Francisco - but I doubt bridges or skylines will make her happy - although she is a big baseball fan! no balls or bats either!

Still looking for some type of rock star silhouette in a spotlight concept - but simple. Not sure if she will go for it but it hasn't been tried yet.

This contest shows the extent of the LT talent range. I hope a version of one of these will be on the 20K shirts I will print!
