Great designs here. One thing that I should mention is the logo has to be used in long form with Family Firm Institute spelled out and in abbreviated form with just FFI so we can use it for our other products (FFI GEN, FFI Practitioner). Another thing to consider is the current icon is leaves but we are not committed to this. One of the standard concepts in the field is called a "3 circle model" of family, business and ownership. The circles are overlapping (see attached uploaded documentation for example). This could possibly be a interesting take for an icon--maybe not literal but a modern lose association with the 3 circles.
