Our Target Audience:
Located 13 miles west of downtown Boulder, Colorado the Falls Pointe Area is located on a geographic peninsula ridge naturally cut from the rising granite, bounded by the convergence of Boulder Creek and Middle Boulder Creek where they meet at Boulder Falls, to the east. The Falls Pointe Area consists of approximately 1,820 acres of USFS lands, 850 Acres of BLM lands, and 455 acres of privately owned and managed parcels. The Comforter Mountain Wildfire in 1970 dramatically altered this once pristine Colorado Mountain Forrest with unique animal habitats. Within just a few days of its burning, the Falls Pointe area became ash, rock and scorched soil. Over the past 44 years since the wildfire, this special area has been transformed by its landowners from a barren, fire depleted area into thriving, sustainably managed mountain forest ecology with healthy plant and animal habitats. Today, there are several resident caretakers. On the weekends, its not uncommon for us to have 100-200 recreational visitors a day, climbing, biking, hiking, fishing, etc, and encounters between wildlife and visitors have become frequent.
