Our Ideas & Additional Information
we want to emphasize the fact that we have a legal background. Perhaps a quill or a house somehow interwoven? We also like the look of a modern brush-stroke type of logo as well http://whatshakinadvertising.blogspot.com/2009/07/enchanted-quill-logo-before-after.html or http://www.uwstoutbookstore.com/shop_product_detail.asp?catalog_group_id=NQ&catalog_group_name=R2lmdHM&catalog_id=17&catalog_name=R2lmdHM&product_name=QkxBTktFVCBGTEVFQ0UgUVVJTEwgTE9HTw&pf_id=GIFT%2FGIFTS10021095&type=1&target=shop_main.asp Perhaps a Gold quill in the background similar to http://www.iabc.com/awards/gq/ Our logo is at www.esqpm.com.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage more participation.
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monitary means of showing apprecaition for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

#1 We like the roof line aspect...would like to see roofline and feather perhaps more abstract? I dunno. We don't like the font of esquire...we want something more "proper." We really don't like the gold lettering being that we went to UCLA Law school (you chose USC colors.) We didn't lilke the placement of quill in the "Q" --it makes it look like a Native American sillouette. Thanks.

#2 We like the color scheme on this one. We don't like the modern font...we want something more snobish. We like the concept of the quill inking out the house but would like it to be more abstract or muted (have the house more like a shadow?) We also like the fact that this logo art could stand alone by itself with having to be coupled with esquire property management.

Thank you for the feedback. It takes a little courage to be the first entry as there are fewer clues as to what you are after. :)

I'll work up new art and submit it very soon

#1, It does take courage to be the first..I was really excited when I saw somebody charge right in. My wife really likes the roof line concept...but I think it's too common in our industry--perhaps people use it because it's important to make that association?

#1 & # 2 I do like the red quill look as opposed to my original black quill. I also like the way it is situated on the left hand side as opposed to the right...

#2 Is it my screen or is the quill fading in color from top to bottom....If so, I like the change in color within the quill. I wonder what it would look like if the word "ESQUIRE" matched the same fading look? I also like the gray shadow look for the house silhouette.

I think the "property management" font/coloring needs some work...I think I want it to fade away and have "esquire" as more pronounced. We want to brand "Esquire" as the choice for local property management. Would the property management font work in a gray or silver tone?

#4 We like the gray font color for "property management" and we are trying to decide if we like the lower case lettering for it as well. The area/county in which we live does not have a skyline and there are no tall office buildings...so the cityscape graphics would not accurately reflect our regional business. We also thought the font for "Esquire" was a bit too hip for us.
