What We Do
Established in 1975, Elizabeth Grady is an iconic beauty brand which pioneered
European-style skincare in the U.S. Today, with 30 locations, "EG" Is launching a digital and social media campaign to remind the millions of customers through the decades of Elizabeth Grady's contribution in the beauty and skincare industry.

From its innovative product line to its beauty services and schools, the skincare pioneer has remained laser-focused on guiding clients toward healthier, more youthful skin. Services include a wide variety of treatments like the Non-Surgical Facial, the intensive Re-Hydration Facial, the skin-saving Custom Airbrush Tan and the stress-relieving Hot Stone Massage.

“EG” may also represent the Latin “exempli gratia” "for example".. The spin: EG SETS the example

EG, The sub-Brand, must now embody a hip new culture of community engagement and re-tell a story of unparalleled beauty experience through a different lens. We will use a storytelling approach to elevate and revive EG’s overall brand awareness, its services, its philosophy and its story.

Dear Designers,

We just sent 2 emails to Logo Tournament. Not only is the site kicking us out at every turn, it is not saving our RANKINGS. We've contacted tech support. You are welcome to do the same. Once site is stable, we can resume our work. But, we've done rankings 4 times and each time we got booted out.

Thank you for your patience. This has never happened before and it's enormously frustrating.

Hi,

I don't think that it's a general issue. Maybe it's a temporarily server glitch. You contest is just now entering Top 5 where rankings do matter. My advice is to wait for a (hopefully fast) reply from LogoTournament.

DEAR ARTISTS: NEW GUIDELINES - PLEASE READ

1. No need to type out Elizabeth Grady. That logo is not changing: Elizabeth Grady's image is safely intact. EG, The Brand, must now embody a hip new culture of community engagement and re-tell a story of unparalleled beauty experience through a different lens. This storytelling approach elevates EG’s brand awareness, its services, its philosophy and its story. Think: Younger Audiences / Millennials.

2. This new identity is for a slick new Campaign dubbed "EG 40" ... Celebrating 40 Years of Setting the Example (we want the ability to extract and change a tagline).Therefore, we are not Rebranding the company, but rather, boosting brand with this new campaign.
3. Logo or Mark mark fit well within Social Media Platforms - Often times, this means having flexibility to pull out the mark (for example, to use as a Watermark on an Instagram quote). Or, to use as a Twitter Avatar for the duration of the 40 Years Anniversary. Often times when global brands or celebrities or others run a campaign they change their online avatars to reflect the identity of the new campaign.
4. Finally, EG - in additional to standing for Elizabeth Grady, “EG” represents the Latin “exempli gratia” or For Example... EG SETS the example.

To answer @Nong: we are not looking for a new corporate logo but rather a complimentary one to use with or without corporate logo in campaign and in social media. Sorry if that wasn't conveyed earlier. We are completely open to your creativity.

Hello Designers,

There are 9 hours left for submissions. The current rankings do not necessarily reflect entire team input - just mine (Creative Director). Our team meets by phone at 4PM ET (New York time), which will leave me little time to respond to everyone individually at this point (til next Phase). So if anyone has anything fresh, we'd love to see this morning. Also, sometimes I group 2 designs side-by-side for my client, to make a point.

My main observation is that most of the '40' ones seemed to fall short -- I recognize how tricky it is to fuse in number. That said, if you have any better ideas, love to see. We may have to drop the number, or include in the copy/headlines of the content. I'll wait to see if you inspire me to decide one way or other.

Another comment: If it looks too much like Chanel, Coach, Handicap Symbol or Pacman, it (likely) won't be selected. It doesn't mean that we don't like or think it is well executed -- it simply means that we don't want that type of initial reaction from our constituents. So I'd refrain from submitting any more like that.

On the positive front, I am blown away by the creative interpretations and fusion of E and G. AWESOME stuff.

I will go thru new-new designs in my cart now based upon all my earlier comments. Thanks for staying engaged!! We really do appreciate all your efforts.

Dear Friends, There was another tech issue with the site yday. We did try ranking after our meeting but our work was not 'saved' and we were booted out and it reverted back. Apologies for the delay. This happened early in contest and then it was fine til yesterday. I am sure it's fine now. Again, thanks for staying engaged.
