What We Do
We are a fun and lively mobile food truck that sells Wonky Fries (french fries, cheese, and gravy) and Wonky Dogs (Wonky Fries on top of a hot dog) on the streets of Washington, DC.
Color Preferences
We'd like to see warm colors that are typically associated with restaurants, such as red, yellow, orange, and/or purple. The logo should work in a black and white for print applications as well, so fewer color variations are generally preferred (2, 3, 4 if white/black are included). The logo will be used in print, online, merchandise, and on a truck wrap,
Please see the attached file for the proposed color palette from the original design. We'd like to liven up the red a bit from that palette, but we are also open to use of a revised palette as well.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Please see the attached original design and suggested warm color palette, as well as a slightly modified version of the design which adjusts the cross in the "t" and removes the lines from around the word "Wonky".
We like the overall concept, which is 2 abstract faces formed by the letters from "eat" and the word "Wonky" as well as by the mouth in the letter "O". We also like the general design of the word "Wonky" with the mouth in the "O". The "eat", however, does not quite work for us.
We would like it to work better with the "Wonky" and for the "e" to look like an open eye, for the "a" to look more like a nose, and for the cross in the "t" to look like a winking eye. At first glance, however, we want the letters of "eat" to be more letters than literal eyes and nose. On second glance though, we'd like people to recognize the face.
With regard to color applications to the letters, we've found that a slight outline around colored letters frames them better than just solid color.
If you would like to propose another concept or greater variation that we've listed here, then please do so. That said, we very much like the general vision and the way "Wonky" and the mouth in the "O" are treated (though any clean up work on those would be welcomed, especially on the teeth, as the left tooth has more squared corners and should be more smooth like the corners of the right tooth) -- we would mostly like to see "eat" treated as described above and color applications applied to the logo.
