What We Do
We are a Solar Energy equipment supplier and installer who want to help free our Customers from their reliance on Grid Power providers.
Of course, localized electricity generated from the Sun's energy is a 100% renewable power source.
Our focus is on commercial customers (large warehouses, factories, production facilities and workshops) who consume the majority of their electricity during the day.
We also have many 'residential' customers wanting more freedom from their power company, protection from more frequent power outages and to live a more sustainable lifestyle
We are located in beautiful Auckland, New Zealand in the South Pacific. We experience very intense Sun light with high UV levels. A very high % of power generation here is already from renewable sources but some is still from fossil fuels. Electricity costs are very high and continually trend upwards. Extreme weather events are more frequent which has lead to an increase in the length of power outages too.
Color Preferences
To date the Company's colors have been in the spectrum of:
- Orange / Red / Yellow, as found in a Sunset or on the surface of the Sun.
We are open to more subtle variations on these, or the introduction of a contrasting color such as purple (perhaps losing the red)
We still want to ensure that the text has high contrast and readability / legibility
Perhaps You wish to throw all this out the window and try another color palatte altogether, such as yellow / lime green / white / grey / black - GO FOR IT! ha ha
Our Ideas & Additional Information
We are wanting to avoid some of the obvious clichés: Please do not use the Sun in place of the 'O' in Solar!
In fact we are (mostly) trying to avoid having the Sun in the logo, unless it is very abstracted or stylized.
The same goes for spark 'bolts' or common electrical
The actual 'grid' of the Solar Panel array ('PV = Photovoltaic') could provide inspiration or structure, such as the background of the logo (a tiled effect?)
One other idea, is using the silhouette of the shape of New Zealand (the Country that we are located in) then filling it in with the 'Solar Panels (monocrystalline in black)
'Solar Power converts photons of light into electricity'
