Thanks for the entries guys! I like the direction in #1 and think it looks pretty cool with the patterns and such, but i'm not sure if that font for the wordmark will be able to stick. I was thinking something maybe a bit more bold and readable, if that makes sense? I know this can get a bit tricky, but I really like the simple retro look or some type of contemporary font that will go look good with some of those patterns and shapes in the attached moodboard I provided. I really like the Tron look and feel and also some of the simplistic in the other wordmarks in the attached moodbard, but am open to any type of creativity you guys may have. I've attached another file of some sketches for some ideas in terms of layout etc... so please use the 2 attached files as direction and inspiration while coming up with your ideas:)

Thanks guys, let me know if you have any more questions!

Thanks guys! I like the simplicity of #14 but I don't think it has enough character geared towards the First Nations/Native approach. I've attached another document containing a bunch more patterns and shapes (pattern_collage_dubson.jpg) and I am hoping you guys can use this to incorporate the patterns/shapes into the logo. You will notice a lot of the shapes consist of triangles, diamond-shapes, arrows, arrowheads, zigzags, and even in some cases tetris shaped building blocks. I did a bit of ranking the logos, but don't think we've hit the spot yet. I still like how #1 has a bit of the native feel, but still don't think the newer entries #12, #13 have quite captured the simplicity/professionalism look yet. We'll have to find a middle ground somehow between the native feel and simplicty. I'm also gonna provide a link of a collage I put together of a bunch of different logos and wordmarks that I've seemed to like, mainly because of their simplicity/professional approach, as well they have their own font/wordmark that shows the uniqueness/character of their theme. This is pretty much the approach that i want with "Dubson", but I want it to have its own character tailored towards the Native culture, which can be expressed through the patterns I have provided. You will notice I seem to like a lot of skateboard/snowboard brands for some reason, but i actually wan't to use this logo to put on Tshirts as well, so am hoping I can get an award-winning design.

Thanks for the hard work guys, looking forward to seeing more!

Thanks for all the hardwork guys!

Heres my take at the moment. I really like the professionalism, simplicity, and type of layout in entries #27 and #28. I like how the wordmark "dubson" is much more bigger and bolder than the word "creative" underneath. #21 also has the same sense, but it doesn't have the look/character i am leaning towards. I also like how in #27 the word "dubson" can stand on its own as a wordmark and l like how the letters look connected and has a bit of character to it. I think the font looks nice and very professional, but would also like to see some different variations, perhaps some with different types of character. I am a huge fan of the type of techno/funky/retro type feeling and also perhaps a disco type of feel. If you have a look at the logo_collage and the moodboard i've provided, I like the looks of certain wordmarks such as "analog", "robatic records", "ephin", "lakai", "tron", so I hoping I can get these type of uniqueness/simplicity in these type of logos and tailor it towards what I am looking for with the patterns/shapes. I am also looking to see symbols to go with the logo like in #26, #16 etc. but something a bit more creative such as logos like "special blend", "ephin", "robotic records", "lakai", "gecko" etc. and these can of course be matched with the wordmark and patterns i've provided. I hope I am making sense, I am doing my best to give direction, looking forward to seeing more!

Hi all,

I've really been thinking about how to give further direction to what i'm looking for and its been bit of a challenge for me, but I think I finally figured out the theme I am looking for. I am going to provide a link to another collage that has a deeper focus to what i want. You will notice a lot of arrows, arrowheads, triangles, and very simple shapes are used. This is the kind of look I am going to go for with the bright but professional colors. I really like the logos and wordmarks that incorporate the arrows and arrowheads attached to the design and letters. If there is a way we can get those into the design that would be great. Please have a look at the collage to get a better understanding of what I am looking for as there are a lot of shapes I would like to use. I am also looking for symbols to be used as the graphic for logos as well and anything that can be created with those shapes would be awesome. FYI, I like the arrowheads that look like trees as well. Thanks again!

Woww! I think the logos are really starting to come around. I am really starting to see more creativity and think thats awesome. I would just like to note that i am really liking some of the fonts in the ones that are ranked in top 10, but i am also open to see even more. It doesn't have to look the same, but just as long as it has a unique look with creativity to it and it is simple and professional with character to it. If you look at 3rd collage, I am really liking the looks of wordmarks such as "the foo fighters", "breakvision", "lakai", "lrg", "birdhouse", "dubstep". I think i even would like to see some graffiti versions of the word "dubson" just as long as its readable and professional. I am also still liking the arrow look and am hoping I can see more options. As far as symbols, I think these are starting to look good too! Again I am going to rely on your guys creativity to get me through this. I really like the innovation in #69 as it has a simple, creative approach to it and am hoping to see more innovation and creativity from all. I really like the "LRG" symbols as it kind of looks like a tree and arrowhead as well. I really like the cartoon look in symbols as well, things such as "matix" symbol "robotic records". Native culture is also really based around animals and I think this can be another option as well. Perhaps animals such as the bear, coyote, wolf, eagle, hawk??? But really am open to see creativity in all the symbols I have mentioned (trees, arrowheads, cartoon animals, letter symbols, cartoon faces, happy faces etc.)... Thanks again and looking forward to all your creativity. Appreciate all the hardwork!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also wanted to note, I am also open to different color options. If you look on the collage again, you will notice bright colors such as red, cyan, purple, green, brown etc... Its hard to find a favorite at the moment but I am just going with what you guys present. Cheers!

Wow looking great guys! Its getting harder for me to choose and rank now. I'm still liking all the fonts in the top 10 and I like #159 and #152, because It is simple, catchy and has character to it. I still think there is some I haven't seen that I would still like to see. I was thinking maybe even trying a simple graffiti look, as long as it is simple and readable, but am still open to whatever you guys put out:) I am starting to see a lot of animals and i think they look really cool. I would also still would like to see some other options as well such as arrow, arrowheads, trees and letter symbols. For letter symbols for the logo, kinda like #133, but am looking for different types of creativity. I'm thinking it can be letters such as just "d", "dc", "db", etc. and it can be lower case or uppercase. I was even thinking if there is a way to even mix them together...for instance, if you have a look on the 3rd collage, you will notice the "matix" logo and symbol, how it mixes the "M" with the eagle head, i think that looks pretty cool too. A few more thoughts...Cheers

Hello all! just over a day left and am still open you some more creativity. My favorite fonts so far are in #206 and #85, I also like #200. I like #206 because it is elegant, simple, and professional. I like #85, because it has the same virtues, but I haven't seen it with much options for logo/symbols and colors as well. I like #200, because it has a lot of elegance to it and is simple and readable, but am hoping to see a bit more things added to it such as (different colors, symbols/logos, arrows???) anything that will give it a final touch of creativity, if that makes sense. I really like #206 and #205 because it shows style, and is creative with the letters and is just simple and cool, i think it can be simplified more and expressing more of the letters. letters I mean, the letter "d", "db" or "dc", can be uppercase or lowercase. I just wanted to note it doesn't have to specifically be animals either, just as long as it is creative. There is things such as arrows, arrowheads, trees etc. and was gonna add a few more animals such as the moose and beaver are well known for canadian animals. I am hoping I can see more from all of you before the deadline. Thanks again..

Hello all,

I decided to extend the contest again as I am still haven't decided on a specific logo that can be sustainable for my company. There are a lot of great entries, but am hoping to see a few more options. As I was saying before I like the fonts in #139, #240, #85, and #217. I'm thinking for the logo/symbol of just using the letter "d" or "D" as I want it to be simple for now, but I want it to be creative looking and cool. My favorites so far in this aspect is #132 and #133, so am hoping to see more of your guys creativity. Also to say I like the looks of #217, but am hoping to see more options and also with a logo to go with it. If we can find the middle ground between simplicity and something with character, I will be happy:)

Thank you guys
