Can you explain a little more about your company, it seems a little broad description.

Client
It's a proposed project to the U.S. government, not a specific company.

Is it "Dicot" or "DIcot" upper or lowercase "i"? You show it both ways

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ After your contest closes it will enter Judging phase. You can re-rank designs in Judging.
~~ While in Judging, the designer ranked in first place can submit revisions

I've envision that DIcot is show with the 1st two characters (DI) as uppercase and the last three (cot) as lower case for affect. I'm open to ideas, but my intent was that DI is oriented to a person (Disruptive Innovator) and that cot was oriented to a group/community/environment.

My error .. it's upper case D & I

I think that my original thoughts were more abstract in design and would like to see some entries that goes that direction. Also DIcot is an effort to change the future through the introduction of thoughts and ideas that have not been introduced to date. I'm not sure how one visualizes change.

Can you please offer us more details on the technology being used towards space exploration... might give more ideas for concepts. Thanks
13 years ago

Client
The concept is to find ideas for technology that currently does not exist to enable new opportunities that have never been considered. These technologies could touch a wide diversity of topics such as propulsion, energy, human health, habitation systems, science instruments, materials, manufacturing, robotics, communications, modeling, simulation, launch & landing, thermal, aeronautics and more.

For consideration ...
It's been suggested that perhaps we don't need the descriptive line of text below the logo.
It would be great to somehow get the swush and O to work together, like 'orbiting a globe'

As an additional thought I've enjoyed the symbolism of the Roman god JANUS and his representation of beginnings and transitions.

Do you want the slogan on the logo, or leave off?

Client
I've not decided if the slogan is best to be visible or not at this point. The cleaner look of no slogan is attractive, but the slogan adds value by communicating the intent.

Please leave more feedback on each submission... This contest is very broad and works better with some sort of direction you might care to see... You can leave open general comments in here, or specific directions when you click each logo to leave a comment to the designer. I'm sure this will help us hone a direction you wish to see.

I'm finding that a splash of color, especially reds and yellows, in the logo is of great interest. I've also found that abstract images of space such as generic rockets versus the NASA shuttle image and a general object indicating a planet versus life like image is more attractive. The goal of the project is to go into the unknown, so a visual image that makes one think forward versus reminisces of the past is preferred. Smaller logo print is generally preferred and still is optional in my mind.

I do like the Roman god JANUS faces, but wish they were more detailed like the old Roman coins seen on-line

I've been reminded that the most important things to depict are creativity and conversation / community.
