All the glows and gradients as I mentioned, I'm worried about their translation to print (or lack thereof) thus why I did the #96 as example of #95 without the black background, and a slightly simpler look...its important usually to have the logo work as single color as well (and if I recall, they require us to send you a single color logo upon completion too) ...
As far as #78 is concerned, Janus's faces, the old looked into the past while the young looked into the future... perhaps I can show 1/2 a shuttle and 1/2 something else - a bird wing perhaps
Ive already toyed around with some door concepts as well and was going to try some.
I can do stars, but in antons examples I can guarantee you these will not translate to print (I've been in printing industry for over 20 years)... I can do larger stars perhaps to give you that feel perhaps (see nasa's logo for an example of why theirs works:
http://global-warming.accuweather.com/nasa-logo.gif ), but remember your focus is on the logo, not the backgrounds, and a good logo should work on any background - not just black, not just white
