What We Do
De Bouwkampioen is an online webshop targetting the Belgian market selling all kinds of construction materials (from small do-it-yourself materials to large quantities of building gear).

Our Ideas & Additional Information
1) Colors matching the design of our future webshop:

http://development.pixelconception.com/magento_construction/index.php/

2) IMPORTANT:

"Bouwkampioen" means "Champion of Construction". Perhaps something with the word "Champion" can be done. Up to the creativity of the designer...

3) Tagline

I want the tagline under the logo which is mentioned above, but this is subject to change in a later phase so I hope that whoever we choose we can agree on making a change of tagline if requested in a later phase.

4) The design of the logo must allow the character in it to be used for future sublogo's/designs etc on banners and so on, e.g. when promoting something or when seasonal events take place. (christmas,...)

Conclusion: The aim should be to have a clean web 2.0 logo with a unique touch (character) on it. The full name of our business "De Bouwkampioen" must be in the logo. The tagline under the logo but must be possible to "remove" it or change it so do not integrate the tagline inside the logo.

Do not hesitate to come back with questions regarding the input we gave. The aim should be to have a clean web 2.0 logo with a unique touch (character) on it. The full name of our business "De Bouwkampioen" must be in the logo. The tagline under the logo but must be possible to "remove" it or change it so do not integrate the tagline inside the logo.

Feel free to post your logo in different styles (name right of the logo, under the logo, without name, name integrated within the logo). If the same design is added in different styles I will only rank one of those but that doesn't mean I'm not interested in the rest! It is a + if you add the logo in multiple styles.

Update: Ive seen some very nice logo entries so far. For the people not in the top rankings: A combination of an abstract character, reference to construction materials (helmet or gear or bricks but not restricted to those two, anything related is good) and integration of our business name in the logo (this I have not seen - an example would be a hammer smashing the . on the i in our business name) is the base for succes... Oh, and do not forget a touch of blue since this is how the site will look like: http://development.pixelconception.com/magento_construction/

Since the open phase has ended, a few remarks on the current entries:

As the contest developed I also changed opinion on some aspects. Having a character as logo is still my preference, but it would also be nice if the logo could be twisted in a way it has no face (e.g. just the format that makes it construction related + some (abstract) fantasy). This way I could use both versions depending on the occasion.

So, feel free to make any revisions. I will rank the top 20 in the next 24h and speak with each one of you regarding some revisions on the most favorite entries.

Thanks in advance!
