I'd like to see examples that use the colors that are attached to the contest against a white background (when I put logo in my site, I'll need the white to really be transparent.)

Clean Readibility of the name is important
I think any entries that incorporate scissors should hide part of the scissor as if it is cutting into the logo
Just don't have the incorporated elements be too overpowering more-so than the words of the site.
I mentioned ideas of elements in the brief that could be cool to incorporate into the letters or design.
Since I'm a web application developer and not really a designer I'm not sure if this would work or not, but just one of many ideas might be to make one of the "O's" in the word "Coupons" a drawing of a round scanner similar to one here:
