Client
What We Do
An interactive events calendar and hobby class website which encourages people to get off the couch and start supporting the arts community.
Industry
Entertainment
Color Preferences
One or two colours only, as I would like the colour in the logo to be clean and clever, with a highlight colour i can use elsewhere on the website. So either black or neutral with a splash of red, yellow, green or orange?
Our Ideas & Additional Information
The site is a "just for the love" project, to encourage people to go out and get creative! The site is primarily an events calendar/ art class database, with lots of media so people can see little clips of shows, instead of just reading about them. The hope is that if it ever sees a profit, the majority of the profit share will go back into funding the local arts community. The hope is to make art, film, music etc more accessible and available (inspired by the Ecosia search engine)

Taglines like "slaying the enemy of fun" are being tossed around but nothing confirmed. The name has playfully violent connotations, which are ok, provided it's not TOO violent (ie no guns or weapons) the "enemy" being the evil chesterfield whose awesome comfort lulls you into staying home.

Logo Designer
Hi! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank and re-rank a variety of designs to get a variety of new entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monetary means of showing appreciation for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked in the top 10. We like to earn points.

~~ NOTE: While in JUDGING mode, the designer ranked in 1st can still submit revisions.

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

#1 - I had a very similar idea myself. This is my preferred of your two submissions, however I would be interested to explore other ideas apart from the target too.

I think I prefer capital letters. It is hard to choose when the designs are so similar at this stage. Are there some other options?
a friend of mine said that the couch looked kind of "space invaders" is it possible to round it a little?
Thank you!

entry#19 - I like that the couch looks more like a couch, and the bullet, however it is a little too cartoonish, and I find the font does not match the feel of the image. I am looking for something a playful like this but a little less cartoonish. Also the bullet is subtle, (it is well sized) but perhaps there is a way to make it a little more obvious so when the image is small it doesn't disappear.

entry #11- the more i look at this the more i find it a little too abstract, is it possible to make it slightly more overt? at least in the lines of the couch?

I am looking for something simple, not too cartoony, (so it is still well represented when the logo is small) but also clear.

The target in the 'o' is another possibility. the splatter as is is a little too violent, but i like the simplicity of it. the red target is a little too absract, so a bit more detail in the couch would be better. Or something new!

#26 - or perhaps the blood slatter could look more like a fabric exploded?

#25- i am not a fan of the circle either. The yellow one, #24 is nice too. I like the shape of your couch, but it's still a bit big.

#29- I like this one. There is a little too much detail, and I am worried the detail will get lost when its smaller. Perhaps the bullet holes could go all the way through- so white comes through, or just a little less detail?

Hey All,
Bullets are good and I will likely end up choosing one of these, but are there any other logo possiblities, fire? another kind of assassin?

Hey All,
Thanks for continuing to post designs. I hope I am becoming more clear in what I want. Clever, not too cartoonish, simple, good design that will look good small, but also not too abstract.

Hey, just to note the less violent the better. I want to appeal to a wide range and a logo that is too violent may be off-putting, also, again, simple and not too cartoony is best. Clever, easy to shrink and creative. Thank you for your work
