entry #7- i like that the target is not as obvious because of the angle. I also like the couch assassin as one work with the one word in bold (i am not sure if I would prefer couch or assassin in bold)
could i see some more stacked versions, of entries number 7, 8 similar to entry #5 or six? i have had some feedback that a very long logo might present problems, but I am not sure... Thank You!
#3- i also like aspects of this option,The balance of it although not the arrow. To me, the arrow says valentines day, not assassin. Perhaps a bullet or a blade? Also to stylize the couch slightly would be good.
really? I think what makes it clever is the fact that it doesn't look like a giant elephant in the room... that is kind of the "oh, cool logo" factor it has going on... aside from the logotype meshing with the overall vibe nicely and the good symmetry of the overall look...
its clean, clever, and unique... holds onto its visual appeal in one color, reads/scales well to small sizes... all the things a good brand should do...
I agree that it has the cool logo factor going on, that is what i like about it, and, the couch is a bit boxy, no curves or details, which to me, looks kind of basic. Many of the other submissions are too cartoonish, which is why I like yours a lot, and, I would prefer if the couch were a little more obvious, because at present it could be a couch, or a double bed, or a basic computer face, or just a cool symbol. The line between the couch base and cushions is quite thick and straight and the edges of the cushions are boxy. Is it possible to finely tune it ?
Again, I like this design a lot and i want to hold to the design principles you mentioned, but i would also like it to be a bit different.
i think it is also because the side arms of the couch are attached to the target markers and not the couch, they do not look like they are part of the couch, perhaps that is what i am responding to as well. so a little space changing and a few slight curves would be great....
in the images you posted, i like the cowbra, white crimson, all very clever and true to the shape of the objects they represent. You are on the ball with your ideas and style.
subtle enhancement to #49 - the end points of the target were a touch thinner than I liked - they didn't seem to have the same thickness as the negative space/middle portion of the couch... I think this looks a little better here...
#50- Much better. I like that it is a complete couch, and I think you have balanced it well.Thank you. I agree that the thicker lines are better. I was wondering if you could change the shape of the couch slightly. I think I would prefer the target lines to be a bit longer, and to achieve that I think the arms of the couch need to be a little straighter, more of a modern couch than an antique style, the cushions of the couch I assunme would also need to be a bit straighter on the sides.
#51- Hey, Just to start off, thanks for all the changes. I am new to this so am not sure if I need to be making all my suggestions now or wait until judging. I Don't want to come across as picky, and I don't always know what I like until I see it- so apologies if I am unclear- just wanted to say that :)
I prefer 50, to this one as this one looks less couch like. the idea is that, if I am going to go with a literal logo design (which is what I am getting) then the couch needs to look really comfy, the kind of thing that would suck you in and ruin what could have been a great night out.
some of the other logos, i think 4th place, the yellow ones, have comfy looking couches. in this one 51, the pillows are too short. and the base is too thick i think. in 50, if you were to make the cushions less like the indentations of lips, and more like either a curve or a wave that dipped slightly in the middle, and without the pointy edges, that would be better, or if the arms raised slightly diagonally, as opposed to a curve....
if this hasn't translated well, I apologize, basically, comfy looking couch. If the block of white is too tricky maybe an outline of a couch ....?
I think this one has a little more of a "poofy or lofty" type of cushion feel... I left the armrests, height of backrest, and dip in the backrest as is - they help sell the idea of couch as opposed to chair...
