What We Do
Update:
Now that we have seen the quality of the logos, we are modifying the criteria of what we are seeking. We would like a new permanent logo to be used indefinitely, but it would be “rolled out” with a 40th anniversary design around it for that one year. It needs to stand alone for subsequent years.

Perhaps a logo that notes our 40th anniversary but we can drop the 40th message to reveal the foundation logo.

Our College represents people whose careers are dedicated, in one way or another, to the application of genetic knowledge and technology to patient care. The double helix, if used at all, needs to be used very creatively (as was the case for at least one of the existing designs).

It has become a bit over-used, but if it is incorporated creatively it may still be a great way to translate the idea of genetics.

We have no colour preference either – you do not have to stick to the existing burgundy, which was not chosen for any particular reason when the old logo was designed.

CCMG is a national Canadian organization that serves its members, governments and the public by, Certifying individuals who provide medical genetics services, Establishing the professional and ethical standards of medical genetics services, Establishing standards of medical genetics training, Providing professional and public education and Informing public policy.
