Slogan
An International Baccalaureate School
What We Do
Private school k-12 (elementary school , a middle school and a high school). CDS is an IB school (International Baccalaureate) with a focus on character education and a rigorous IB curriculum for top students.

Color Preferences
red (bright red). Please see our website http://www.carrollwooddayschool.org
Our Ideas & Additional Information
1. Although our formal name is Carrollwood Day School we are changing our name to CDS Prep for everything except formal items like contracts (just as most people refer to M.I.T. not Massachusetts Institute of Technology).

2. The logo should be for CDS Prep and underneath it in smaller letters "an International Baccalaureate School" or "International Baccalaureate"

3. Ignore the Oak Leaf and Eagle mascots/logos on our site

4. We are an IB School (International Baccalaureate certified) . IB is a specific curriculum similar (but more international and advanced/modern than Advanced Placement) and IB is a big part of who we are.
5. I prefer simple logos and believe the emotional image they convey is more important than including relevant elements.

Sheilds and Coats of Arms (i.e. see Harvard Universities logo) are not unique/creative but can be effective for the image we are looking for.

We want to convey: elite, established, conservative, rigorous education that prepares students for top universities. Parents are spending a lot of $ and want the best.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank and re-rank a variety of designs to get a variety of new entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monitary means of showing apprecaition for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

Note; as a prep school our finished "product" is a child who is well prepared for college or who has gained admission into an excellent University. Our customers (parents) want to know they are sending their child to a top college prep school-- a school that will help their child excel scholastically and give them and edge.

I think something like the Harvard University shield but with our own element(s) like the IB (Int'l Baccalaureate) logo in red inside the shield along with some other elements may be a good place to start. Carroollwood (first line), Day School (second line), and tagline "International Baccalauriate school tagline underneath. Shield like Harvard as a logo to the left of the name.

You can play around with CDS in the shield.

Colors should stay red. Accent color either gray, black or blue (blue only because it goes with the IB logo which we often use).

P.S. I like the shield that is in the Moderators avatar! Solid, traditional, yet updated! Maybe use that design and incorporate our colors (red and black) and CDS.

Please note: I made some changes to the contest goals. We would like to switch the emphasis from Carrollwood Day School to CDS Prep and the tagline International Baccalaureate.

I would like to see CDS Prep stacked and then International BAccalaureate undeneath (maybe in small thinner font and stacked). Then incorporate a visual like a coat of arms of shield (or any thing new you can be creative with) around that or next to that.

I will be taking these logos and presenting them to the Board of Trustees on Monday Aug 16th. You will have a better chance of winning if you submit before Mon Aug 16th. The Board of Trustees will be voting on which style they like best then.

Also the shield is just one idea. I would love to see others.

Looking good! Note: No leafs in any logos please.

Doesn't have to have a shield. Just needs to be CDS Prep, have International Baccalaureate as a tagline and be red and black colors. Needs to convey traditional, international, high standards/scholastic. An eagle is our sports mascot (see our website for the eagle).

Thanks!

Just an idea... maybe try a version with a globe instead of a shield? (to promote the International aspect).

The name or words CDS PREP should likely dominate the logo (i.e. word logo) and the graphics part (shield or whatever else someone can come up with) will be an accent. If it is printed small I would still like CDS Prep to be readable. That's one of the reasons I like #39. Also it is somewhat preppy/old school/conservative which is fitting for a prep school.

Contest will be extended for 3 days. I will be presenting these logos to the Board of Trustees tonight and based on their feedback either select a winner or comeback with some modifications.

Thank you!

Came back from the Board meeting last night. They liked many of the logos however would like to see new ones with the name "Carrollwood Prep" which will be short for Carrollwood Preparatory School.

Please submit logos with Carrollwood Prep from here on out (instead of CDS Prep).

Thank you!
