Color Preferences
Monochromatic approach. Using one or two colors is fine but I want it to look good in B&W as well. This logo will be used mostly on a white background but should also be balanced visually to be used on a black/dark background as well. Please no special effects like drop shadows or gradients.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
The words "Buzz Click" are fun active words that should take the focus. "Photography" can take second-billing on a second line. Please avoid using cliche filmstrip or camera graphics although subtle elements of a camera may be present. I like clean & clear sans-serif fonts, not decorative. I prefer edgy over formal & predictable. But bold fonts and/or pictorial mark should be very easy to read when layered over an image as it will also be used as a watermark on some images. I am a fan of street art, old rock concert posters, propaganda art and simple lower case logos. But I want simple and clean. "Buzz Click" refer to sounds as much as visuals. How can the buzz make a click sound? lol Just seems a bit contradictory almost surreal to me :) Guess this is where the logo should possibly go... Great work on your website btw!

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ You, the Client, are very important! Your active participation is the single greatest factor influencing this contest. Active participation by you, the Client, helps you get the logo design you want!
~~ What's active participation? It's updating the brief with more information for Designers to work with as the contest progresses, providing feedback to Designers on their entries when they're submitted, and ranking designs at least once a day.
~~ When you provide feedback to Designers, you increase the chances of getting the logo you want. More feedback = better results!
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion.
~~ Rank designs at least once each day -- this will encourage Designers to submit more entries!
~~ Ranking prevents your contest from going idle! Active contests attract more Designers.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed. Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Please note: if you're asking for a design that will require several hours to create, to attract Designers willing to invest that amount of time the prize should be at least $400-$500. All "Character" style logos fall into this category.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested." We'd like to know what you don't want so we can give you the design you do want.
~~ The first phase of the contest is the "Open" phase, and everyone can submit during that time.
~~ After your contest's initial "Open" phase closes, it will enter the "Top 5" phase; only the top 5 ranked Designers will be able to submit revisions at that time.
~~ The "Top 5" Designers are the first 5 Designers in a contest, not the first 5 designs.
~~ When "Top 5" ends, the "Judging" phase begins. The Designer of the 1st place design will be the only Designer who can submit revisions at that time.

Don't concentrate too much on the literal meaning of "buzz" and "click." I am a sound nerd (I am a photographer who also works in radio) as evident in my tattoos of a camera shutter and 45rpm record adapter: http://www.flickr.com/photos/radiospike/5240073158/

I wanted to choose fun, active and playful words that were easy to say and spell... which led me to "buzz" and "click." But it is not necessary to play too much off the words. It is interesting that several designers thought to incorporate a bee or fly in the pictorial... perhaps my name is better suited for pest control? haha.

I am encouraged by the designs that have been submitted in the first 24 hours. My friends were right that the Logo Tournament bunch is a creative crew. Keep these great designs coming - I will attempt to leave detailed feedback when possible. thank you so much for sharing your creative minds with me!

Here is my actual wrist tattoo art so that if you are incorporating a camera shutter into my logo, you can match the look of the pictorial I have been using sporadically on website stuff:

I stated that I like clean & clear sans-serif fonts, not decorative. But I guess I shouldn't be so restrictive with that statement because the talented designers here have surprised me with some out-of-the-box designs. As you can see by my top-ranked logos, I prefer edgy over formal & predictable. The only rule is that it be easy to read at any size.

I see some good designs but have increased the prize to encourage some late-comers. Let's see what you've got!

While I regret starting this contest on a holiday weekend, I am encouraged by some of the late entries... some great designs all around. Thank you to all! I will definitely be coming back to design my other two company logos on LT.

Keep the creativity flowing! As you can tell by the variety in my Top 5, I like a wide range of concepts and every tweak gets my gears turning. Best wishes...
