What We Do
Yoga instruction for all levels of students focusing on finding balance and joy.. Both physically and mentally inspiring
Industry
Sport
Color Preferences
Brown and green(sage or olive)..if a third color is added perhaps a more energetic color can be added so that both the tranquility and energy of yoga are represented in the logo..possibly a melon shade although we do not want it to be too feminine.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
I am doing this as a gift for my sister who is opening her studio early in the new year. Her initial description was to have a brown dog similar to the one she owns in a down dog position but rather than his head being down he would be looking out. She thought his yoga mat could be green and a third color represented on his collar. She envisions a somewhat whimsical and fun font. She is open to more ideas.. This is just a starting point. She wants to use the logo for all branding, signage, and websites. She would like to incorporate the logo on tshirts with a variety of dog/fitness sayings on front or back of shirts...(unleash your inner calm...etc) She does have images of her dog that she can provide and a sample logo for reference only. . Please let me know how she can provide these in a separate email.

The brown dog is a given but if designers feel there is a better color than green to contrast with the brown then we are open to seeing other color schemes. We want the dog to present a fun environment .

you need to either get a link to something on a web site or upload a file where it has that on your brief entry area.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ You, the Client, are very important! Your active participation is the single greatest factor influencing this contest. Active participation by you, the Client, helps you get the logo design you want!
~~ What's active participation? It's updating the brief with more information for Designers to work with as the contest progresses, providing feedback to Designers on their entries when they're submitted, and ranking designs at least once a day.
~~ When you provide feedback to Designers, you increase the chances of getting the logo you want. More feedback = better results!
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion.
~~ Rank designs at least once each day -- this will encourage Designers to submit more entries!
~~ Ranking prevents your contest from going idle! Active contests attract more Designers.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed. Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Please note: if you're asking for a design that will require several hours to create, to attract Designers willing to invest that amount of time the prize should be at least $400-$500. All "Character" style logos fall into this category.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested." We'd like to know what you don't want so we can give you the design you do want.
~~ The first phase of the contest is the "Open" phase, and everyone can submit during that time.
~~ After your contest's initial "Open" phase closes, it will enter the "Top 5" phase; only the top 5 ranked Designers will be able to submit revisions at that time.
~~ The "Top 5" Designers are the first 5 Designers in a contest, not the first 5 designs.
~~ When "Top 5" ends, the "Judging" phase begins. The Designer of the 1st place design will be the only Designer who can submit revisions at that time.

I don't see any 800 number for you to call. I think you need to go through the Help page.

Thank you for your tips so far.. A few comments for further inspiration are:

The dog needs to be a lighter brown ...a shade somewhere between design # 4 and design # 15.

We want the word yoga to be different from brown dog... Either by changing color or font.

The dog definitely needs a collar.

We like how the dog shown in design #4 is perched on top of the letters but do not like the block style...like how he is positioned on top of the letters.

A creative thought... Could we have a leash attached to collar descending from neck and creating the words brown dog yoga with the leash?

Please feel free to use any colors you feel would work with brown in the logo. I am sure there are hundreds of color combinations that we would never think about using...don't want to limit your creativity in any way!

We have tried unsuccessfully to download a photo of the actual dog. I believe it is a lab/pit bull mix. Medium sized dog ...muscular and strong but with floppy ears and a happy face!

I am very pleased with all the entries I have received so far but am a little concerned that more designers are not participating. Perhaps I have been overly specific about the use of the brown dog being "in a yoga position". Please submit any design you feel would be a good representation of a yoga studio with this name...It could be a logo with dog paws on a yoga mat, a leash incorporated into the logo without the actual dog...I want YOUR vision! I have looked at the profiles of the the contestants who have already submitted entries. Many of the logos on your profile pages do not have actual characters but are still very effective in creatively representing the brands. Please take the name and do what you do best!

At this point in the contest would it be wise to rank only one logo from each designer so that the top five designers start to appear rather than the designs we like best. Many entrants have entered multiple logos that are very similar to one another . If we change the ranking it will not be because we don't like a specific logo but because we like one in a particular color or font best...any suggestions at this point??? Please keep the designs coming and let me know if there is anything else I can do on this end to help...thank you for your participation!

We would like you to tell us privately (by clicking on a design) what you don’t like and/or do like about the design(s). We cannot read your mind.... We love to hear your feedback. ;-)

Thank you,

Hey guys! I love what you're doing My husband is a partner and he is wanting to see something a little more retro 70's like the lucky brand jeans style. Check out don corvairs curb side casserole

My contest has been extended .. Would love to see more entries . I would like to see a few more logos with a "lucky jean" vintage / retro style. I really like the cute, whimsical entries but my husband
( business partner:) wants to see a little more masculine look ... Perhaps vintage style with the name "brown dog yoga company." We are open to whatever you would like to submit. Thank you!

Please avoid using orange as a dominant color on the logo . A local restaurant has been using that color for years in their logo..thank you

I am going to start moving some of the similar or duplicate logos into the non-interesting box.. This does not mean they are completely out if you are chosen as a top five designer. I am just trying to make the ranking process somewhat easier. I may still refer to these designs in the final selection process...thank you!

Top 5 contestants... Please enter any final concepts you may have ASAP. I like what I am seeing but feel like I may have given you the impression that I definitely wanted a retro image with everything in an oval or circle. I would like to see your designs a little less retro and a little more vintage so I can decide which style best captures the energetic yet organic style that comes to mind when one thinks of yoga. I am not asking you to start completely over with your designs. I am asking you to add a more vintage style..soft faded colors..cracked worn look... You do the layout your way disregarding my current rankings. You were chosen not only for your particular design but for the work I saw in your portfolio. I want my design to look great on a tshirt. The studio is in a college town and I want these students to wear my logo.. It needs to be something that has the "cool" factor. Thank you for your continued efforts!
