Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank and re-rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ After your contest closes it will enter Judging phase. You can re-rank designs in Judging.
~~ While in Judging, the designer ranked in first place can submit revisions

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

I am happy to announce that after some thinking we are able to increase the prize package to 350. Good luck to the designers and thank you for your efforts. All entries will be fairly considered. Thank you.

We have recently come to the understanding that the Contest brief may be too Ambigous and have too many rules for the artist to follow, please understand that it wasn't our intention to limit your creativity. In fact please just take our outline in the brief as suggestions of the mood we want to convey to our audience. We aren't artistic professionals, so I'll hereby suggest to everyone to feel free to break any 'rules' you may want to in our brief so long as you keep our vision in mind. We want to see Creativity and variety spring forth from this contest with the time we have left, please feel free to reinterpret our emerging brand in any which way that inspires you! Feel free to be as Simple or Complex, use a Web 2.0 or Emblem or even something unknown to this site, again you are as they say in Mad Men, "you are the creative"!

Thank you for all of the new submissions sent in so far.

Based on what everyone has sent in we want to try to emphasize some things.

"Strength through effort"

We want to open up the parameters a bit to allow you to be more creative. For example, you don't necessarily have to include an old man in the logo. I know we mentioned that, but that was being a bit too specific we've decided, our fault there. If you have an idea based on a style (character, abstract, etc.) that we did not list in the brief, but you think the logo still conveys the right message, we would love to see your logo!

Colors - We're open to more use of colors as long as you think it fits the message we want to convey.
Classic/modern - we've decided that we would like a slightly more modern feel based on what we've seen so far.

simple/complex - we want to stay away from REALLY simple designs. That being said, it doesn't have to be super complex either. Just nothing too simple.

Please read the entry comments for further details. Thank you.
